The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) is a premier Central University located in Kalaburagi (Gulbarga), Karnataka, India. It was established in 2009 by The Central Universities Act, 2009 passed by the Parliament of India to expand quality higher education in underserved regions. CUK operates as a fully funded government institution under the University Grants Commission (UGC), with the President of India as its Visitor and Prof. Battu Satyanarayana as the Vice-Chancellor. The university’s core goal is to integrate teaching, research, learning, innovation and skill development across disciplines while ensuring equity and access for diverse student communities.

CUK’s sprawling 654-acre campus is situated near Kadaganchi village in the Kalaburagi district, offering a serene and green environment for academic life.
