Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) – short name: CUSB – is a Central University located in Gaya, Bihar, India. It was established in 2009 under the Central Universities Act, 2009 and was originally named Central University of Bihar (CUB) before being renamed Central University of South Bihar through the Central Universities (Amendment) Act, 2014. Placement

The University Guest House (Sangharam) has 03 VIP Rooms (suite room), 32 fully furnished AC rooms, 1 six bed dormitory, 25 seater conference hall and around 36-seater Dining Hall. The Guest House is offering the accommodation facility to all Delegates, Parents/Guardians of the Students residing in Hostel / Alumni /Guest from other academic institutes/relatives of university employees. This Guest House is within the reach of ATM and Bank. The standard operating procedure (sop) for guest house booking is available on the website of the University.CUSB Health centre is presently situated inside “Chanakya Bhavan” having consultation room, separate male and female wards, dressing room and nursing station.

The Games & Sports Committee for Central University of South Bihar, Gaya being constituted in 2020 to look after various sports affairs in the campus and beyond with especial reference to promote Competitive Sports culture in the university to develop physical fitness and wellbeing among the students.The sports committee emphasises on maximum participation of all the bonafied students of the university with providing an adequate infrastructure of outdoor & indoor sports activities.The sports committee also manages the extensive and well laid out fields and indoor facilities for various sports and games which are available in the campus.

University campus is equipped with high speed Wi-Fi connection. There are two Wi-Fi connections available within the entire campus (including all buildings like Admin, Earth Biological, School of Education, Social Science, LT Hall, Girls Hostel, Boys Hostel, Guest House, VC Residence and all open area of campus). The main Wi-Fi connection named as CUSB1 is supported by the scheme of National Knowledge Network (NKN) implemented by NIC, Government of India. The Other Wi-Fi Connection named as CUSB2 is provided by Department of Information Technology, Government of Bihar under Bharat Net Scheme.

Hostel

Two well-furnished and aesthetically designed separate hostels for girls and boys have been constructed within campus of the University with a view to provide best possible facilities to the students. For leisure and recreation, both indoor and outdoor sports facilities are made available in the hostels.

Allotments of accommodation in Hostels are made in according with the norms, procedure and administration stipulated in the “Rules and Regulations Governing Hostel Administration and Residency” approved by the Statutory Bodies of the University.

The university is well-connected by road and rail. It offers internal transport facilities and is easily accessible from Gaya Railway Station and Gaya Airport. Local transport services are also available for students and staff.
