Channabasaveshwar College of Arts, Science, and Commerce is the oldest degree College in Bhalki. It came into being in 1968 as a result of the foresight and tireless efforts of His Holiness Dr. Channabasava Pattadevaru of Hiremath Samsthana Bhalki and Loknayak Sri. Bheemanna Khandre, the Ex. Minister Govt. of Karnataka to provide quality higher education to youth of the region when there was no such facility existed. Bhalki is part of Bidar District which is most backward district of Karnataka both educationally and economically. The college is affiliated to Gulbarga University Gulbarga for Degree Courses and P.U.E. Board, Bangalore for P.U. Courses. The college is recognized by University Grant commission and has been accredited at B++ grade by NAAC, (only college in Bidar District with such a grade). The college has been conferred with Environmental Awareness Award jointly by the Department of Khadi and Village Industries and the Department. of Environment and Ecology. The College has its own building with large class rooms, well equipped laboratory, a well stocked library housed in a separate building with more than 30,000/- volumes, E-books and number of professional and general awareness journals. The college has well qualified and experienced faculty. The college strive for overall development of students. To achieve this the college has two units of N.S.S. and One Unit of N.C.C. which inculcate the spirit of Social Service patriotism and discipline into the minds of the students and has a number of play grounds. This has ensured excellent results in academics as well as representation of students at state level in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Channabasaveshwar College of Arts, Science and Commerce Application Process. B.A. Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized school/board. Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized school/board.

The candidates must be studying in Classes 11 and 12 at a recognised educational institution in India. Applicants must have scored at least 60% marks in the preceding class. The annual family income of the applicants from all sources must be less than or equal to₹2,50,000.
