Cheran Arts Science College, Kangeyam also known as CASC was established recently to cater quality education in Commerce, Science and Arts, affiliated to Bharathiar University. Admissions
Cheran Group of Institutions pursues a holistic admission policy for all the programmes offered by the institution. A holistic admission policy seeks to understand the whole applicant beyond marks and solicit whether an applicant will be a good fit in a programme and whether they will thrive. This is in keeping with the best practices of International Universities and allows us to select the best applicant for our programmes.

Admission Policy and Process
Admission will be carried out through online application portal.
Admission process will start as per the guidelines of Tamil Nadu Government.
All the candidates seeking admission to the Undergraduate (UG) / Postgraduate (PG) are required to register online or can visit
to the College and receive the printed application.
As per the present policy, a candidate seeking admission in Undergraduate (UG) programmes must have passed 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognised board and seeking admission in Postgraduate (PG) programmes must have passed UG programme from a recognised Institution/University.
Applicants will be responsible for the quality and authenticity of all the information they enter, including upload of copies of certificates.
Admissions will be considered to be complete only when the full fee for the academic year is paid (against an official receipt) and the name of the applicant appears on the relevant rolls.
Applicants who do not have a valid e-mail ID must create an e-mail ID before proceeding as all the future correspondence is through this e-mail ID throughout the admission process.
Programme selection can be done any number of times after the first registration using login credentials.
The selection of admission is confirmed on verification of the original mark sheet, community certificate and other relevant documents. The admission of the candidate is subject to the approval of Bharathiar University.
If any applicant is unable to submit the application in online they can submit the hard copy of the filled in application in the drop box available in the college.
If student registered at university and not attended any class then collect nominal fees and return his certificate.
If student registered and continued for semester / any semesters and attend minimum of 15 days of class then he has to pay that particular semester fees.
After 15 days, the principal is to send a warning letter to the student via registered post and email. 30 days – 2nd notice. 45 days – final notice and the same should be intimated through WhatsApp also. 46th day – to send the information to accounts and management with the attached proof.
On discontinuing from the course, if it is registered, student has to pay current semester fees. All discontinued students list should be sent to the Accounts department, for the clearance of No Dues Certificate.

Placement plays a vital role in shaping the career and professional life of the students through a systematic and structured sustained approach that launches our students onto a meaningful career path. Our placement cell is assisted by a team of faculty coordinators from all department working in tandem with the placement cell and industry experts to help students develop productivity and employability. Career guidance sessions from our faculty and industry experts help students make informed choices regarding their careers. At CASC, we have robust connections with a host of recruiters from various sectors, from niche categories, to enhance the employment prospects of our students.

No wind is favorable if the destination port is unknown. Understanding the importance of using the right knowledge, skill-set and aptitude for the right assignment, the Placement Office lays a great deal of emphasis on giving corporate and students the choice of mutual selection.

Responsible for identifying the right student-organization fit, the Placement Office selects targets and invites organizations to the campus for placements.

The entire placement activity is coordinated by the Placement Office, which is the main interface between the corporate world and CASC. Student Empowerment is a key feature of life at CASC. Placement Office is an integral part of the institute, seeks to identify the best student for the opportunity provided by a prospective employer.

A structured Personality Development Programme, wherein interviewing skills are imbibed by trainers and corporate alike.

Internships are an integral part of the academic curriculum at CASC. Both summer and Full Time Internships with organizations provide students with basic understanding of the companies operations; this ultimately enhances the adaptability of students at large.
Training and Development
CASC has established a full- edged and highly dynamic, Centre for Training & Placement, which is been actively taken up the task for training and development the students by experts from academic and corporate leads and then placing them in good organizations such as Infosys, TCS, Cognizant etc., The CASC conducts campus recruitment drives regularly by inviting leading companies. We at CASC have realized the need of urgent demand from corporate to improve the employability skills of fresh graduates. After discussing with various HR leaders across the industry we have come out with a structured employability skills enhancement program targeting the demands of the corporate by a professional training company.

The CASC Placement Cell organizes career guidance programmes for all the students starting from first year. The cell arranges training programmes like Mock Interviews, Group Discussions, Communication Skills workshop etc and it also organizes public sector Exam training for students who are interested to join Government Sectors. The college invites HR Managers from different industries to conduct training programmes for first year students from the beginning of their studies in CASC with the help of industries which are in collaboration with Cheran Group of Institutions.

Laboratories
We provide world-class lab facilities for each department. Computing facilities for the students include a full air-conditioned well-equipped laboratory with about 300+ computers connected to the centralized servers. Every workplace on the campus has Wi-Fi connectivity with a separate login ID.

Our laboratories are well built and adequately equipped with the advanced tools supporting the research activities. Enhanced lab facilities support the enriched collaboration of theoretical learning with practical experience.

The exceptional laboratories of the educational group have received miraculous recognition and applause for the valuable contribution in the research field. This feature makes the college outstanding from the competitors of the education field.

The fully spaced laboratories offer a chance to develop the skills of the student by refining their technical skills. Students are assisted in laboratories by the faculty members to experiment with the theoretical concepts that they have learned in the classroom.

The infrastructure of CASC plays a vital role in the development of the college as the students are very good infrastructure with advanced laboratories equipped with state of the art equipment etc.The institution, situated at the heart of the city, spread over 35 acres. There 4 blocks with 100 classrooms, 6 laboratories, two libraries, two administrative offices, an air-conditioned Principal’s office, guest room, three seminar halls, an auditorium and Department staff rooms. It also comprises a separate wing for the Office of Examinations, Administrative and Training Block, Internship and Placement Centre, Counselling Room, Stationery Store, Transport Office, Maintenance Department, Common Rooms for girls and boys

The classrooms are spacious with enough ventilation and well furnished with comfortable seating facilities. At CASC each classroom is provided with a green/black board, with needed number of lights and fans for a conducive teaching-learning environment. In all the Class rooms at our institution, we are enabled with ICT based learning and have provision for internet connection and projector. The entire college campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The construction of a new academic block has been completed and the teaching has started in new building.

Library
The Library at Cherraan’s Arts is well-stocked and fully-computerized. It has around 22,000 books covering almost all aspects of Science, Commerce & Humanities. It regularly subscribes to about maximum periodicals including 5 daily newspapers in Tamil and English. Internet facility is also available for both students and faculty members of the institution. The services offered by the library are circulation, consultation, reference and inter- library loan.

Sports
Sports play a vital role in the physical and mental development of individuals. It helps in promoting health and fitness, building teamwork, and inculcating a competitive spirit. Cheran Arts Science College in Kangayam understands the importance of sports and provides its students with both indoor and outdoor sports activities.

Transport The college has provided good transport facilities for the students coming from various places of Erode and neighbouring places. At present, thirteen buses are operating at different destinations and 25% freeship from government fare. This facility has been extended for various activities like, participation in the Seminars, Extension activities Training programmes, Institutional training, and NSS, N.C.C and Sports activities for the students.
