Chettinad Hospital and Research Institute (CHRI) is a constituent college of Chettinad Academy of Research and Education (CARE).  A deemed to be university, established in 2006, CHRI has been providing quality education and continues to be a preferred destination for aspiring students from all over the country. CHRI is located at Kelambakkam, Tamil Nadu. Urappakkam Railway Station is 22.7 km away and Chettinad Health City Bus Stand is 1 km away from the college. Chennai International Airport is 31.6 km away and it will take around 1 hour 7 minutes to reach the college. CARE has a 100 acre lush green campus at Kelambakkam on Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR), popularly called the IT corridor of Chennai. Situated around 30 kms away from Chennai Raj Bhavan, the campus is serene and tranquil without the hustle and bustle of the city and yet having access to all the modern day amenities.  Students can take a cab or a bus to reach Chettinad Hospital and Research Institute. CHRI has been approved by National Medical Council (NMC).  The institute has secured 49th rank in the Medical category in NIRF 2021 Ranking with an overall score of 45.23 out of 100. 

CHRI initially commenced with an approved intake capacity of 150 students which has been enhanced to 250 seats since 2019 onwards. Today, CHRI offers programs at all levels including 1 undergraduate (MBBS), 19 Postgraduate (MD/MS), 7 super speciality (DM/MCh) and 1 Post Graduate diploma course in clinical embryology. The eligibility for admission is NEET / NEET PG entrance exam, as applicable.

Admission Procedure
