The College of Engineering Aranmula is the 8th Engineering College under the Co-operative Academy of Professional Education. The Co-operative Academy of Professional Education (CAPE) was formed to establish Educational Institutions in various professional fields to provide facilities for Education and Training. The Co-operative Academy of Professional Education is promoted by the Co-operation Department of the Government of Kerala and is an autonomous society under Government of Kerala. The Courses offered are B.Tech in Civil Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering and Diploma in Cloud Computing & Big Data, Cyber Forensic & Information Security, Electrical & Electronics and Electronics & Communication.

Admissions

The admission to the approved seats are as per the rules and regulations formulated by the government of Kerala. Three classes of seats are available for admission. Merit seat 90% of the total approved seats, Seats reserved for Co-operative sector is 5% of the total approved seats and NRI seats 5% of the total approved seat. The allotment to merit and Co-operative sector seats are from the qualified list prepared through entrance examinations conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala. NRI seats are filled by the College/CAPE authorities through a procedure directed by the university and AICTE New Delhi. In addition to the approved intake, five percent of sanctioned intake of the college shall be filled under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFW) on the basis of merit of the candidate and the annual income of the parents. The scheme is proposed to provide Tuition Fee Waiver to women, economically backward and physically handicapped meritorious students pursuing degree in Engineering & Technology. The Waiver is limited to the tuition fee as approved by the State Level Fee Committee. All other Fees except tuition fees have to be paid by the beneficiary.

For admission to the college, the students have to register options separately for both merit and management seats of the interested branches in the CEE website during the time limit fixed by CEE. The allotment shall be based on the merit obtained by the students after considering both the entrance rank and plus two mark. For admission to NRI seats the student has to contact principal/college office directly with NRI details and other relevant documents for initial registration and subsequent interview. The admission shall also be based on the merit of the student.

SCHOLARSHIPS

1. E.K Nayanar Co-operative Professional Education Scholarship (CAPE Scholarship) All students admitted under reserved seats of Co-operative sector irrespective of annual income and marks (Or)
85% and above marks in Plus Two Examination and annual income not more than Rs. 2 Lakh

2. AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) There is a maximum of 5 % seats under TFW scheme
Annual income Limit - Rs.8.00 lakhs

3. E-grants
SC, ST, OEC and OBH: without income limit.
OBCs and general (FC): With income limit (below 1 lakhs)

4. Merit Cum Means Scholarship (MCM) for students belonging to the minority communities Merit- not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination
Annual income limit - Rs.2.50 lakh.

5. Central Sector Scholarship MERIT- above 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant stream from the respective Board of Examination in Class XII of 10+2 pattern or equivalent

6.KSWCFC Samunnathi Candidates should be from non-reservation forward community. annual income limit- Rs. 2 Lakhs

7. PRAGATI scholarship scheme for girls student
Two Girls Child per family are eligible,
Annual income limit- 8 lakh

8. SAKSHAM scholarship scheme for specially abled student Specially Abled Student, having disability of not less than 40%
Annual income limit- 8 lakh

9. C H Muhammed Koya Scholarship Should belong to MUSLIM, Latin, Converted Christian community and should be a native of Kerala.
Should be a GIRL student studying for the first year of Graduation or Higher courses in Govt./ Aided Institution.
Should have scored 50% or above in the qualifying Examination.
Family Annual income should not exceed 4.50 Lakhs.
Those who apply for Hostel stipend should be staying in recognized hostels.

10. Fisheries Scholarship The Department of Fisheries, Kerala offers scholarships for SSLC and higher education for the children of fishermen and allied workers

11. FAEA SCHOLARSHIP Foundation for Academic Excellence and Access provides scholarships to Students belonging to socially and economically disadvantaged section the in BPL category, Students who have passed Class-XII from a recognized Board of Secondary Education in India

12. Indian Oil Scholarships Scheme Having minimum 65% marks in Minimum Entry Qualification (MEQ) i.e. 10+2 or equivalent
Gross Joint annual income of the family of the student from all sources during financial year should not exceed Rs. 1,00,000/-

13. Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme for CRPF and Assam Rifles
Dependent wards & widows of Central Armed Police Forces & Assam Rifles (CAPFs & AR) Personnel.
Having minimum 60% marks in Minimum Entry Qualification (MEQ) i.e. 10+2/ Diploma

14. Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme for RPF (Ministry of Railways)
Dependent wards of Ex/Serving RPF/RPSF personnel and widows (below the Rank of Gazetted officer)
Having minimum 60% marks in Minimum Entry Qualification (MEQ) i.e. 10+2/Diploma

Library
The Central Library of the College of Engineering Aranmula commands a prominent place among the Students and Faculty with its ample collection of Documents ranging from Textbooks, CD Roms to E-Resources. The Digital section facilitates access to cyber resources such as all the mandatory e-journals packages of aicte and various other online resources. Besides library has a wide variety of periodicals to cater to the informational requirements of users. The systematically arranged collection aims to cater to the multidimensional informational requirements of users.

Boys Hostel
The college has four hostels for boys completely controlled by the college authorities and PTA. The college hostels have all the facilities including hygienic food at nominal rates and are situated near to the campus. A hostel committee and PTA regularly visit the hostel to monitor the activities, quality of food, and discipline in the hostel. The fees for the hostel are collected by the warden in the hostel before the 5th day of each month. 24 hr security is available in the hostel premises for the safety of inmates.
