About College 

The College of Engineering Pathanapuram was established in the year 2011 by the Co-operative Academy of Professional Education (CAPE), an undertaking of the Government of Kerala. The College is located at Elikkatoor in Kollam district of Kerala. It is situated at a serene ambience in a vast area of twenty five acres, which is 7 Kms from Punalur and 8 Kms from Pathanapuram.

To mould quality engineering professionals to suit the needs of the society with strong fundamental knowledge, analytical skills, creativity, innovation, perspective, integrity and ethics余 those who have the capacity to adapt to constant change, leadership potential to make the fullest possible contribution to the development of the community and the ability in any sense to function effectively in any emerging global environment.

Admission

Admission is made as per the rank obtained by eligible candidates in the state-level Common Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala State. 90% of the seats in the Colleges under CAPE will be allotted by the CEE as per the reservation policy of the Government. So also, 5% of seats reserved for wards of Co-operative Sector and 5% N.R.I seat filled by CAPE on the basis of rank.In addition to the approved intake, 5% of sanctioned intake of the college shall be filled under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFW) on the basis of merit of the candidate and the annual income of the parents.These students will be provided with a complete tuition fee waiver. All other Fees except tuition fees have to be paid by the beneficiary.

Lateral entry : The Engineering Diploma holders are admitted directly to the 3rd semester. 6 seats for each branch.

Placement

The training and placement cell (TPC) functions with the objective of giving apt career guidance and placement opportunities. It is a group of zealous students guided by eminent faculty. The cell acts as a morale booster to extend all possible assistance to career conscious students.

Targeting overall development, the following programs are conducted frequently..

Seminars and workshops.

Career guidance camps.

Personality development classes.

Mock tests and interviews.

Group Discussions.

Library

The institution central library, with a blend of normal and digital resources and services, caters to the information needs of its academic community.

Library started functioning from August 2011 to meet the needs of students, faculties and staff of the institution. The better ambience of the reading area enhanced the usage of library effectively.

Hostel

To provide accomodation facilities to sudents hostel facility is available in the college. We have a Ladies Hostel with all facilities in the College Premises. We are also having approved men's hostels

COLLEGE STORE

The centralized store was established in the year 2012 to provide full-fledged welfare facilities of students and teachers by providing them with academical aids. it is located in the ground floor of the academic block authorized with a well-mannered storekeeper and provide service on all working days.

TRANSPORTATION

Six college buses are running for the convenience of students and staff of the college. The college has a regular bus service plying to and from Bharanicavu,Pathanapuram,Ayoor,Punalur,Kundara and Kottarakara to the college premises. The P.T.A, College of Engineering, Pathanapuram operates college buses for the use of staff and students. A fleet of College buses are running from different places to the college for the purpose of conveying students & Staffs
