The College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Tripura established in the year 2009, started functioning temporarily at R.K.Nagar Farm Complex utilizing the available building of Department.  The new college building is supposed to come up within a couple of years in land allotted to the college for this purpose.  The new building will have Administrative Block, Academic Block of 17 departments, and common facilities as per guideline of VCI.  A new Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex will also be created.  In the first year, 19 students were admitted.  With the establishment of the college, there will be scope for research and continued education.  Recent advances in Veterinary Sciences can be made use of in the NE State.  This will help the Animal Husbandry sector in general and the farmers in particular in promoting their livestock and poultry production.  Classes started with regular faculty members.

This reputed College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry is located at Radha Kishore Nagar (RK Nagar), Agartala, West Tripura, India and is located on the northern side of the National Highway (NH44) at a distance of 3 Km. from Khayerpur and about 8 Km from the capital town Agartala.

The College is provisionally affiliated to Tripura University (Central University).

College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Tripura is reputed for the UG Degree Program – BVSc&AH course in Full Time mode.  The accepted entrance exam for admission into the college is TBSE / 12thCBSE.  The Institute has highly Qualified and Experienced faculty who deliver this program for an intake of 50 seats.

Regional Duck Breeding Farm, R.K.Nagar. capacity: More than 3500 rearing capacity.

Rabbit Breeding Farm, R.K.Nagar. Capacity: More than 1500 rearing capacity.

Cattle Breeding Farm, R.K.Nagar.

State Poultry Farm, Gandhi gram. Rearing capacity: 7000 rearing capacity.

Composite Livestock Farm for Goat & Piggery, Devipur, WestTripura

College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry is a reputed institute for BVSC. Students can chose this program to excel and persue their career in Science. Institute has highly trained & experienced faculty who deliver this program. Course is available for 50 intake.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission (as per VCI guide line)

He/She has completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year B. V. Sc &AH course.
He/She has passed the qualifying examination as defined under VCI regulation with subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as core course and obtained marks 50% in aggregate of this subjects at the qualifying examination. (H.S+2 Stage)
For SC/ST candidates marks required for admission shall be 10% less than that of UR category.
Sponsored candidates shall have to qualify the admission procedure as laid down for UR category. (First+Second).
