M.Sc - Agronomy
Overview:
M.Sc. Agronomy is a two-year full-time curriculum broken into four six months each. The course is meant to provide advanced insight into offering alternatives for sustainable agriculture for both the environment's well-being and the well-being of humans who eat agricultural output to qualified applicants.
Students are taught how to communicate effectively with the general public, farmers, and fellow scientists using various approaches. The discipline is quickly gaining popularity in the country, in both the government and commercial sectors, as the demand for innovative approaches to improve sustainable agriculture practices grows. The course is meant to provide instruction to qualified applicants on how to enhance agricultural output and, as a result, food security and to help society streamline more effective food production techniques.
By integrating research with an in-depth education in Physiology, Genetics, Climatology, Biochemistry, and Plant Breeding, students are trained to apply such information to real-world settings where scientific concepts around agronomy are put into reality.
Agronomy, or scientific agriculture, applies soil and plant sciences to soil management and crop production. Modern concepts in herbicides and crop production, drought physiology, principles of crop nutrition, physiological aspect of crop yield, physiology of crop plants, agricultural research organizations, advanced irrigation agronomy, applied conservation agronomy, advanced crop ecology, arid zone agronomy, cropping, and farming systems, and agricultural research organizations are among the subjects covered by this degree.

Farm Manager:

Agronomist:
Agronomists, sometimes known as Crop Scientists, specialize in producing and improving food crops through conducting experiments and developing methods of production. Agronomists divide their time between the field the laboratory. They collect samples while on the field, talk to farmers and others involved in the industry or introduce different techniques and products that could improve soil quality.
Research Associate:
Research Associates are responsible for monitoring progress of research projects and coordinating information between departmental sections. They perform a wide and complex variety of assays, tests, and studies. They perform highly specialized and advanced experiments, and collect, prepare, analyse, and evaluate specimens and/ or tissue cultures.
Lecturer:
Lecturers are responsible for teaching academic and vocational subjects to undergraduate and postgraduate students. They work in universities and also pursue their own research to contribute to the wider research activities of their department or institution.
Subject Matter Specialist- Agronomy:
Subject Matter Specialists- Agronomy are responsible for providing training in beekeeping, mushroom rising, vermin composting, making of bio gas units, and demonstration of new technology for improving the farm productivity. Seed production, for example, helps farmers increase seed replacement rate.
