B.Sc - Neuro Electro Physiology
Overview:
B.Sc. Neuro Electrophysiology is a 3 year Allied Health Program which will provide the knowledge, skills and practical experience to work as a professional healthcare scientist. Clinical physiologists (neurophysiology) work closely with patients of all ages to investigate the function of the nervous system in order to diagnose and monitor neurological disorders, including epilepsy, strokes, dementia, nerve and muscle dysfunction and multiple sclerosis.
Neuroelectro Physiology deals with Physiology and Neuroscience which directly connects with the core study of nervous system functionality.
In today's era of modern medicine Neurophysiologists use these techniques from physics, chemistry and molecular biology, whereas chemistry includes calcium imaging, physics includes functional magnetic resonance imaging (FMRI) and molecular biology has site directed mutations. All these subjects support the Neurophysiologists to study brain function.
The basic requirement to pursue B.Sc Neuro Electro Physiology is to clear 10+2 examinations from a recognized education institute with physics, chemistry and Biology as principal subjects of study.
Basically a candidate who has taken up BSc neurophysiology Technology will get exposed to in depth knowledge into neuroanatomy, Neurophysiology, Neuropathology, Basics of electric conceptsrelated to neurophysiology, Neuro electrophysiology, Neuro-Biochemistry, Clinical practice EEG in OPD, Computer science fundamentals, EMG & NCV which includes instrumentation and clinical practice, Patient care management, clinical care, Pharmacology related to neurophysiology and clinical practice, EEG and EMG Machines , Clinical practice in OPD, EEG, EMG in different disease, Intra-operative Neuro Monitoring, Sleep Studies , NeuroImaging Modalities, and also acquire industry level training in communication and personality development skills.
