Overview:

MPhil Tamil is a research-based degree. The course involves an intensive study of the Tamil language and literature for one or two years. M. Phil (Tamil) is a theory-based course and includes no practical paper. Students holding a postgraduate degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized institution are eligible for the course. Candidates must have a minimum of 50% to be eligible for the course. Admissions to the course are mainly done based on the merit of the candidate's qualifying exam.
