MSc Zoology is a 2-year postgraduate study dedicated to the study of animals. The program dives deep into the biology, behavior, and structure of animals. A Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Zoology studies animals, both living and extinct. The course covers both theoretical and practical aspects, and uses modern technology to help students understand animal life.  The course typically involves advanced study and research in the field of animal biology and is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of animal behaviour, physiology, ecology, evolution, and conservation.  MSc Zoology provides students with a solid foundation in animal biology and prepares them for careers in research, conservation, education, and various other fields related to animal science and wildlife management.  Students learn about animal anatomy, biodiversity, evolution, behavior, and more. The program also includes topics such as Biochemistry, Genetics, Cell Biology, and Research methods. 

Any candidate who wishes to pursue a Master of Science in Zoology should have a bachelor's degree in Medical Sciences, Allied Sciences, Biosciences, or any Life Sciences specialization. They should have scored at least 50% marks at the undergraduate level from a recognized university.  

The two-year postgraduate zoology program, consists of 4 semesters. Admissions are either based on merit or through entrance exams conducted at the university level. Some of the institutes also hold a personal interview round as part of the admission process.
