Masters of Veterinary Science, known as MVSc in short, is a 2- year-long postgraduate level master degree course in veterinary science. It has been designed to have a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, surgery and treatment of animals from different diseases.

- Candidates must hold a degree in BVSc and AHB from a university recognised by the Veterinary Council of India.
- They must have secured a minimum of 55 per cent marks or 6.0 CGPA (5.5 for SC/ST candidates) in graduation.
- For SC/ST category students, there is a 5 per cent relaxation in the minimum passing marks. This percentage requirement may differ for each institute.
- Some institutes have an age limit of 20-22 years whereas some other institutes have set the upper age limit as 35 years.
