B.Tech(Lateral) - Biotechnology

Overview

The Department of Biotechnology was established in the year 2002 under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS, NAAC Accredited ?A++? Grade Institution), a Deemed-to-be-University under Section 3 of the UGC Act (1956).
The Department of Biotechnology offers both B.tech and M.tech courses in Biotechnology. We also offer B.Sc and M.Sc Microbiology courses. The doctoral program of the Department offers Ph.D degrees in various fields of Biotechnology and Life Sciences.
The department has highly qualified teaching faculty with Doctoral and M.Tech qualifications in different areas of Biotechnology. Faculty members are consistently involved in quality research. Their dedicated efforts have resulted in more than 400 publications in National and International journals of high repute.
Huge funds are being mobilized in different areas of biotechnology such as biopharma, agri-biotechnology, diagnostics, horticulture, food science and initiatives by Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and Department of Science & Technology (DST).
