Overview 

Master of Chirurgiae in Urology or MCh Urology is an advanced degree in Urology surgery. Generally, it is a three to five-year course depending on the level of the previous study. Aspirants who opt for MCh Urology after MBBS will have to undergo the course for five years while those who opt for the course after MS or MD will require three years to finish it. The programme is designed to prepare physicians who would understand, evaluate and manage the medical and surgical aspects of genitourinary disorders. The course also fosters an environment of scientific curiosity and endeavour.

Those who wish to pursue MCh Urology must have 55% in MBBS/MD/MS degree to be eligible for the course. They will also have to qualify for entrance examinations such as NEET-SS and INI-CET. Admission Procedure For M.CH  Urology:

  • Registration: In this step, students need to create an account by entering basic details like email-id, phone number etc.
  • Application Form: Fill the application form with all necessary details. Care must be taken to ensure all details are accurate and correct.
  •  Uploading of documents: Scan and upload all requisite documents like mark sheets, photograph and signature. Documents need to be uploaded in a specific format only, as specified by the institute’s application portal.
  •  Payment of Application Fees: Candidates have to pay the application fees either online or offline.
  • Downloading of admit card: Admit cards are released once all applicants are judged for eligibility. The admit card must be downloaded and printed out to be used on the day of the examination.
  •  Entrance Exam: Prepare for the exam as per the syllabus and past papers. Appear for the examination on the date announced.
  • Results: Results are announced after a couple of weeks of the exam day. If a candidate is successful in qualifying the entrance examinations, they can move on to the next round.

Eligibility For  M.CH  Urology:

  • Candidates must hold a MS/ DNB degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Students must have secured a minimum aggregate score of 55% in the same to be eligible. The institute university or the medical school you are getting your degree from must be recognized by the Medical Council of India.
  • Minimum experience of 24 months in General Surgery is a necessary requirement for a candidate to be eligible for the course, as experiential learning.
