CSI College of Dental Sciences and Research, a dream project of Founder, Late Rt Rev Dr A Christopher Asir, the 5th Bishop of Madurai-Ramnad Diocese.  It was established in the year 2007 under the aegis of CSI Diocese of Madurai-Ramnad and has proved a beckon to knowledge seekers in the field of Dentistry.  The dedicated mission of this college is offer professional Higher Education through the best of Values and ethics built around the principles of serving the society, reaching the underprivileged and developing a pool of talent in Dentistry.  It aims to attain World Class Excellence in Oral Hygiene, build a Disease free Healthy Nation, inculcate the habits of Discipline, Dedication and Devotion in the minds of the students, develop them as elite future citizens for India and make available the Oral hygiene care to everyone in the Country and infuse in the minds of the younger generation a strong feeling to serve the humanity.  The Bishop of the Diocese heads the Management of the College as its Chairman.  Currently Rt. Rev. D. Jeyasingh Prince Prabhakaran is the Bishop-Chairman of CSI CDS&R.

CSI College of Dental Sciences & Research is located in a beautiful campus measuring 9 acres of land inside the CMH Compound, E Veli St, Madurai, Tamil Nadu.  The college campus is easily approachable by various modes of Transport.

The CSI CDS&R is Affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University.  It is Recognised by Government of India and Dental Council of India, New Delhi.

The courses offered in CSI College of Dental Science and Research include BDS and MDS.  The eligibility for admission to the courses are NEET and NEET MDS exams as per the rules, regulations and norms laid down by The Dental Council of India and Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University.

The Dental College provides top class Infrastructure including Auditorium, Conference Room, Seminar Room, Lecture Hall, Laboratories.  It also offers excellent facilities like Hospital, Library and Hostel, etc.

Boys Hostel
There are separate hostels for boys. The hostel rooms are spacious, well ventilated, and comfortable. Each room is shared by two or three inmates. Nutritious food prepared in a healthy & homely manner is served in the dining hall. Recreational activities like Gym, Indoor games are available in the hostels. It is compulsory for all students to stay either in the college hostel or with their parents. The hostels are supervised by the wardens and residential caretakers. No political union or organization of any sort is allowed on the campus. Smoking and usage of narcotics are strictly prohibited. The detailed code of conduct will be intimated at the time of admission.

Medical/Hospital
It is a multi-specialty Dental Hospital consisting of qualified Professors, Readers, and Lecturers in various branches of Dentistry. All forms of Dental ailments are efficiently handled by the concerned specialists using modern equipment. The registration and all basic treatments like extraction of teeth are done free of cost. The number of outpatients attending the Dental Hospital is more than sufficient for the Dental Students, to get clinical exposure & training during their course of study.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.


Library
Our College Library is located centrally for easy reach of students and faculty members. In addition to providing an excellent atmosphere to study and to conduct research, our Library acts as a repository of a large number of books. Our library is unique in providing additional facilities in terms of electronic acquisition of information involving the Internet, CD-ROM, Audio and Video facilities, provisions for Photocopying and Spiral Binding Group discussions, and conference rooms. An entire spectrum of visuals, slides, and models are exhibited and made available for students and the faculty to utilize and enrich their knowledge.
