It imparts education in the following courses - Β.Α., Β.Β.Α. (Banking, Financial Services & Insurance), B. Com. (Accounting & Finance), B.C.A., B.Sc. (Medical, Non-Medical and Computer Applications), BPES, M.Com., M.Sc. (IT), М.А. (Punjabi, Political Science and History) besides Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application and Post Graduate Diploma in Fashion Designing. B A. B Ed/B Sc. B. Initially set up as a High School in 1898. D.A.V. College was licked into shape by great men like late Lala Ram Parshad, Lala Devi Chand, Lala Ram Dass and Pandit Rala Ram in 1926. In response to persistent public demand, it was raised to a Degree College in 1940 and Post- graduate classes were added to the institution in 1948.

The college has produced scores of scholars, administrators, professionals and statesmen who are serving the country in various capacities. Every year our students earn positions in academics, sports and extra mural activities because of the untiring efforts of the teaching faculty. The well-qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty is continuously engaged in updating their knowledge by consistent participation in Webinars/Seminars/Conferences and contribution to Research Journals. Several teachers are actively pursuing Research in their respective fields to upgrade their qualification and it is indeed worth mentioning that every year a couple of teachers are awarded Ph. 3. For M.A. Punjabi, candidates with at least 45% marks in Punjabi at degree level are also eligible; the requirement is 40% for SC/BC candidates.
4. For M.A. History, candidates with at least 45% marks in History at degree level are also eligible; the requirement is 40% for SC/BC candidates.
5. For M.A. Political Science, candidates with at least 45% marks in Political Science at degree level are also eligible; the requirement is 40% for SC/BC candidates

M.Com

Admission Process
