Admission process

DAV College offers a variety of scholarships and concessions designed to help you and your family pay for college fee. The financial assistance may take the form of College scholarships, state assistances, or outside scholarships as well.College offers a variety of scholarships to the meritorious students who performed well in the university / board examinations, sports and cultural activities.Besides merit scholarships, the college also provides financial assistance to the weaker sections of the society. The needy students can apply for the scholarship and appear in the personal interview to avail the benefits.Scholarships under Government of India Post-Matric Scheme are also available to Scheduled Castes/Tribes students who are settled in the Punjab State and are pursuing the post Matriculation studies.

The College has a Training & Placement Cell to arrange career counseling, training and placement activities.The Training and Placement cell provides support for placement of Final year students of UG and PG Classes. The support services that it offers are in the form of arranging campus interviews, grooming students to face the final test of their knowledge and arranging Guest lectures, workshops, seminars for career counseling as well as make efforts to provide practical training to the students. This cell was established in 2006 under the Deanship of Sh. C.B.Gaur, Associate Professor, PG Department of Commerce. In 2008, Sh. Rajiv Sharma, Associate Professor, PG Department of Commerce took over the charge of this office and subsequently by Sh. V.K Sareen, Associate Professor, PG Department of Commerce and then Dr. Nischay Bahl as Dean, Associate Professor in Post Graduate Department of Computer Science.The training & Placement cell is an indispensable pillar of DAV College and plays a vital role in shaping student’s future. The placement cell functions with a vision “To Groom students with competencies & employability skills to become part of Top Notch companies.” It is well regulated & structured with a placement officer, Prof Manav Aggarwal at the nodal level his team members.
