Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Arts and Science for Women (Autonomous), is run by the Srinivasan Charitable and Educational Trust, Perambalur, Tamil Nadu, registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975. The College is Self-financing in nature, started in 1996 as per the G.O. (MS) No.564 dated 13.8.1996 and maintaining active affiliation with Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu since 1996.

The College campus is located in a sprawling area of 25 acres. The campus with magnificent buildings, beautiful landscapes, lush green lawns, provides a serene atmosphere contusive for studies.

The College is NAAC Accredited under ‘A’ Category Institution continuously since 2007 (Last CGPA 3.44, Yr. 2018). The College has been ISO 9001:2000 certified for its Quality Management System since 2003 that is upgraded to ISO 9001:2008 in the year 2009. Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Arts and Science for Women (Autonomous) are named as the Best College of Arts and Science for Women in Tamil Nadu by The Knowledge Review Magazine.

The College is conferred with Autonomous status for the period of ten years w.e.f. 2017-18 by Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli, with the approval granted by University Grant Commission, New Delhi. The College offers a wide spectrum of discipline of relevance to present the socio-economic milieu of our country. As on date, the college offers 13 UG, 13 PG, 06 M.Phil., and 03 Ph.D. programmes. College also offers 02 PG Diploma and 02 Certificate courses with Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli. The college also offers 12 specialized certificate courses to enhance the employability skills of the students.

4 B.Com., / B.Com., (CA) Pass in 10+2 with Commerce and Accountancy. 20% of seats may be reserved for Vocational Stream. The candidate who has passed Diploma in Commerce or Modern Office Practice (3 years) or equivalent awarded by Directorate of Technical Education / National Council of Vocational Training is eligible for lateral entry to 2nd Year.
5 B.C.A., Pass in 10+2 with Mathematics as one of the core subjects.
6 B.Sc., Computer Science Pass in 10+2 with Mathematics as one of the core subjects.
7 B.Sc., Biochemistry Pass in 10+2 with Chemistry & Biology.
8 B.Sc., Biotechnology Pass in 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology or Biology as one of the core subjects.
9 B.Sc., Chemistry Pass in 10+2 with Chemistry as one of the core subjects.
10 B.Sc., Mathematics Pass in 10+2 with Mathematics as one of the core subjects.
11 B.Sc., Microbiology Pass in 10+2 with Biology as one of the core subjects.
12 B.Sc., Physics Pass in 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics.

Hostel
The capacity of the hostel is 700. Its functions including the discipline of the inmates are managed by a team of staff members along with higher officials. Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian food will be served. Library with religious and other important books is available for the benefit of the inmates. Medical care during emergencies is also provided for all the inmates. Generator facility is also available to meet the power cuts and shutdown. Wi-Fi facility is available to enhance the knowledge of the students. Free Transport arrangement is provided for dropping students from the hostel to Bus stand.


Auditoriums

An auditorium with a capacity of 250 persons is located near the entrance of the college. The facilities such as LCD Projector for presentations, elaborate Audio arrangements are provided for the conduct of functions such as Seminar & Symposia efficiently.

An Open Auditorium with a capacity of 2500 persons is located in the campus premises. The Audio arrangements are provided for the conduct of college functions such as College Day, Convocation Day, and Freshers’ Day.

Canteen
Canteen is located adjacent to the main building of the college. A variety of South Indian food and snack items are provided to the students and staff of the college with highest quality. Canteen staff takes extra care to provide the students and staff with nutritious and hygienic food in the canteen.

Transport

College buses are plying from the different area to come to the college with free of cost. Students and staff can avail this facility by registering themselves in the office.

ATM
Indian Overseas Bank ATM is located in the college premises for the benefit of students and staff. The students can use the ATM facility to withdraw the money easily without wasting their valuable time unnecessarily in standing long queues.
