Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engineering (Autonomous) DSCE is a Top Engineering College in Tamil Nadu. The College was established in 2008,. It was established out of an immense passion for contributing to the society, and strives to promote the cause of education.

The College is nestled away from the odds of the city life, located in aesthetically designed buildings along the Western Ghats in 19 acres of sylvan surrounding. The College is situated on the NH-47, Palakkad Main Road, Navakkarai Post, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.The College is 20 Km from Gandhipuram Town Bustand, nearest Railway Stations are Walayar at a distance of 3 Kms, Podanur Jn at 23 Kms and Coimbatore Jn 17 Kms away/ Coimbatore Airport is 33 Kms from the College.

DSCE is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University. Admission Procedure

Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engineering and Technology (DSCET), located on East Coast Road, Poonjeri, offers admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs through both government and management quotas, Admissions are conducted through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling, based on candidates' performance in the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) with subjects including Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

Admission Process

TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission ) is a state level counselling for admission to the undergraduate B.E/ B.Tech degree courses offered by the institutions or colleges located in the limits of Tamil Nadu state. TNEA counselling form will be issued to the students who complete higher secondary every year. Tamilnadu Engineering Admission TNEA is an authority conducting counselling for the 12th students who wants to join in engineering B.E / B.Tech / B.Arch. Students from other states can also pursue engineering education from TNEA admission process. They have to submit Anna University counselling application form before the last date. Mostly the form will be available in all govt. engineering colleges and Anna universities. Students can submit the filled form directly to the centers or can send the application through post.

Eligibility

The candidates from the native of Tamil Nadu state are eligible to apply. The outside candidates who studied their schooling in Tamil Nadu may also apply. The children of persons who have been serving in Public sector or government sector for the last five years in Tamil Nadu may also apply for TNEA. The candidates must have passed the 12th (intermediate) or its equivalent examination from the government recognized board with the subjects as Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry with the percentage of 50% (for general candidates), 45% (for backward class including Muslim), 40% (MBC & DNC) and 35% (for SC/ST/SCA) candidates.

M.E - 2 Year Course

Admission Process

Admissions to the Government Quota are handled by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu. Candidates seeking admission under the Government Quota must have written the TANCET exam (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) conducted by the Anna University. The single-window counseling normally takes place in the month of July / August every year at the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore. Candidates seeking MBA | MCA | ME admissions under the Management Quota must have written one of the entrance tests – CAT, XAT, ATMA, MAT or TANCET. The selection process is based on the scores in the entrance test as well as past academic record and performance at the Group Discussion and Personal Interview organized by the Institution.Admissions under the Management Quota are made purely on merit.

The Department of Training and Placement is headed by Mr.S.Nissar Mohamed,B.E, M.B.A , This department interacts with reputed organizations to support the final year students by arranging the campus interview in both UG & PG. It makes efforts to send most of the students’ for internship to enhance their technical ability and gain exposure to the practical world.

Industrial visits to reputed companies are arranged to know more details about industrial activities. It also enhances the soft-skill capability of the students through regular training programs. The department counsels the final year students for their higher studies and for getting projects from industries. We ensure that our students are proficient with the expectation of the industry. We have created the environment which gives the students an opportunity to balance their academic commitments and co-curricular activities in order to exceed in both.

We have the State-of-the –art Placement Cell infrastructure which comprises of Auditorium, GD Panel rooms, Closed Interview Panels and Conference Hall. The entire facility is designed keeping in mind to ensure that both students and the recruiters have a comfortable recruitment experience.

The DSCET campus has a beautiful and serene atmosphere ideally suited for technical education. The infrastructure and facilities available on campus are amongst the very best. It is a wholly self-contained campus comprising of everything that students on campus would ever require.

In order to take care of aesthetic dimensions of the campus, considerable efforts have been made in the recent past to beautify the campus. Greenery in terms of the grass, permanent green plants, trees and flowers have been laid down all over the campus. Horticulture maintenance and development has been meticulously monitored to keep up with the changing weather.

DSCET provides full-fledged and marvelous infrastructure. All the required Drawing Halls, Class Rooms, Laboratories, Engineering Workshop, English Language Communication Skills Lab, Library, Computer Center, Internet Lab, Seminar Halls, Smart class Rooms and Faculty Rooms are housed in a total building space of 3,10,000 sft. OHPs/LCD projectors are established for all the classrooms to assure an effective teaching-learning process.

Two standby power generators 220 KVA, 110 KVA are provided in the campus to take care of the occasional power shut down due to maintenance.

Transport

DSCET provides a fleet of buses that cover various routes to facilitate transportation for students and faculty members. These buses are scheduled to arrive at the campus before 8:15 AM, allowing students to have breakfast and prepare for classes that commence at 8:30 AM. The buses depart from the campus at 4:20 PM, ensuring timely return for day scholars. Additionally, special buses are arranged at 5:30 PM for students engaged in extracurricular activities or utilizing campus facilities like the library or internet services.
