About

DMI College of Engineering is a Christian Minority Institution of Higher Technical Education, promoted and managed by the Sisters of the Society of DMI, which was founded in the year 1984 by Rev. Dr. Fr. J. E. Arulraj.  The Society manages several Educational, Technical, Health, Welfare and Social Development Institutions. The vision of these Institutions is to provide a discipline life with a spiritual base to remain ‘fully alive and fully human’.  Further, it strives to achieve Excellence and provides opportunities to the students to achieve Technical Excellence.

The mission of DMI College of Engineering is to sustain a community of individuals who are dedicated to the achievement of excellence and who share a vision related to Engineering & Management.  The college also commits itself to promote self disciplined and holistic personalities among the marginalized, oppressed and disadvantaged sections of the society so as to mould persons in pursuance of making a better human life through science and technology. It enhances the core strength of the students and enables them to make significant contribution to the development of the society in particular and the nation at large.

DMI College of Engineering is situated in a serene atmosphere in the western part of Chennai at Mevalurkuppam’B’ Village, at Palanchoor 5 kms from Poonamalle in a sprawling campus of 55 acre land (more than double the stipulated area of the AICTE), on the Chennai-Bangalore National Highway 48, Palanchur – Nazarethpet Post, opp. Queens Land, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.DMICE is Affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.  It is Approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and Government of Tamil Nadu.  The College is also Accredited by NBA.

DMI College of Engineering offers various UG, PG and Ph.D. courses in the fields of Engineering and Management.  The college offers B.E (in 6 disciplines), B.Tech (in 2 disciplines), M.E (in 4 disciplines), and MBA (in 5 specializations).  The admissions to the degree programs are based on merit and entrance exams.  The college offers various Scholarships to deserving students on merit and also assists students with Education Loans.

Each course adopts a comprehensive and unified approach calling for rigorous study in a variety of fields both within the discipline and other related areas.  Thus the student is prepared with a through understanding of science and technology related to his/her discipline with its implications. Admission Procedure

DMI College of Engineering admission 2025 is open. The college offers various courses such as BTech, MTech, MBA and PhD courses at the UG, PG and PhD level. The Department of Human Resource Development is headed by Dr. T. D. Industrial visits to reputed companies are arranged to know more details about industrial activities. It also enhances the soft-skill capability of the students through regular training programs. The department counsels the final year students for their higher studies and for getting projects from industries. We ensure that our students are proficient with the expectation of the industry.. D M I College of Engineering, Chennai

It is a well-equipped, computerized and spacious state of art library with more than 37,600 volumes and 1200 CD’s, on various topics. In addition the college subscribes to number of National and International Journals and periodicals. The library is under the supervision of a professional librarian and open to all the members of the college. E-journals are also available, copies of which could be made at the library.The college offers sports facility for the students, and has a playground for playing various games like cricket, football, etc through which the sports spirit of students get developed and enhances physical fitness.

Transport

A fleet of buses is available for transportation from different parts of the city. Only those students who have registered and obtained the bus pass are allowed to avail themselves in the college transport facility. The students are not allowed to change their boarding and alighting points without prior permission.
