Dr B. R. Ambedkar School of Economics University, Bengaluru is established for public bene?t and accordingly its objectives are set to establish a State of Art School of learning economics and other social sciences. It is set to endeavour on the lines indicated by Dr B.R. Ambedkar, an economist who is the architect of the Constitution of India.

Admissions for Five-year Integrated M.Sc. Economics course 2023-24

Admissions for the academic year 2023-24 are open for Dr. B R. Ambedkar School of Economics University, Bengaluru, through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG 2023) examination conducted by NTA to the below mentioned programme. All the programmes offered at the University are full-time, residential.

Five-year Integrated M.Sc. Economics programme as per NEP 2020 [75 seats for Indian candidates + 5 seats for PIO/ Foreign Nationals]

ELIGIBILITY:

Candidate should have completed 2nd PUC/ 12th Std./ Equivalent Exam with English as one of the Languages and Mathematics as a core subject and obtained a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate (60% for SC/ST category students).

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

Candidates are required to fill in a Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2023 online application form and appear for the test conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). For details on test schedules, syllabus and other information please visit https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/.

Admissions to the above-mentioned course is based on performance in CUET 2023 and as per the eligibility criteria and reservation roster.

Selection process for the PIO/ Foreign National is based on the merit list of the performance in the respective qualifying examination(2nd PUC/12th Standard/Equivalent examination).

Candidates willing to take admission in this University need to opt for this University as one of the options as a preference in CUET application at NTA website and ALSO NEED TO FILL SEPARATE APPLICATION at www.base.ac.in.

Training And Placement Office

The University has an active Training and Placement Office- (TPO) which looks into the placement and internship opportunities for its students. The objective of the cell is to help students identify their career goals and provide them with an edge into present day competitive job market. The student representatives of the cell in consultation with faculty coordinators take the lead in all related activities with the support of the University. The TPO not only facilitates the recruitment process but also helps in the up-skilling of students through workshops and special lectures delivered by domain experts from the industry. Learning Resource Centre: The university has an excellent Library cum Resource Centre which encompasses an appreciable collection of unique books and journals dedicated exclusively to Economics and allied Social Science subjects. The capacious nature of the Learning Resource Centre as it is rightly called,provides the most suitable atmosphere for the learning activities to take place with utmost prolificacy.The bewitching infrastructure combined with the pleasant view it captures, adds on to give the much-desired aesthetics. The Learning Resource Centre is well designed to support e-learning as it is equipped with digital resources and subscriptions to various databases to assist students and young professionals in the pursuit of academic excellence. Moreover, the university is incessantly working towards enhancing its capacity by giving due importance to the potentialities of information technology, keeping in mind, a sustainable future.

Smart Classrooms: Classrooms with different types of modern equipment and learning tools which provide a good learning atmosphere.

Computer Lab: The university facilities comprise advanced computer labs with several computers supporting high-end programming.

Conference halls: The university has spacious conference halls for singular events. Each of the halls is well-equipped with large screens, microphones and comfortable seating for student presentations as well as other essential meetings.

Discussion rooms: The discussion rooms at the university are specifically designed for students to have academically charged discussions and debates among themselves and doubt-clearing sessions with the faculty.

Recreation Centres

Student Centre: The university provides a recreational space entirely for the students equipped with a gymnasium, multipurpose hall,club rooms, game rooms for table tennis, carrom, chess etc.

The multipurpose hall has a basketball court, badminton court and a volleyball court.

Auditorium : The extravagant auditorium is in its completion stages.

Amphitheater: The open-air Amphitheater is the perfect setting for the students to shake a leg or nurture their passion for singing at various cultural events organized by the university. It is an absolute complement to the Bengaluru weather.

Well-Spread Lawn:Well-spread lawns at the university are not only visually pleasing but also facilitate learning in the lap of nature through the simulation game sessions that take place outside the classroom.

Hostel:Contemporary hostels for boys and girls each are available. The hostels are equipped with geysers, washing machines, water filters and elevators for the convenience of students. It has well-furnished single, double sharing and triple sharing rooms.

Dining Hall: The university has its dining hall that runs the mess service for students and faculties at a reasonable price.
