Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth is an agricultural university at Dapoli in Ratnagiri district of the Indian state of Maharashtra, which was established in the year of 1972 as Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth. Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth (DBSKKV) UG Admission

At undergraduate level, Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth offers courses in the fields of Agriculture and Fisheries with a number of specialization subjects. All of these specialization courses are offered with the duration of four years. In order to get admission to the UG courses, candidates need to pass in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Admission to the UG courses are done on the basis of Merit in the pre-qualifying examination.

• 15% of the total seats for all U.G. Courses shall be reserved to be filled in from all India basis through Common Entrance Examination to be conducted by ICAR, New Delhi (It includes 10% seats over and above the sanctioned intake capacity)

  University library is located at Dapoli. It caters the library, information and learning needs of the College of Agriculture, College of Horticulture, College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, and College of Forestry, etc. located at university headquarter dapoli. The College of Fisheries, Ratnagiri, other research stations and agriculture schools maintain separate libraries at their respective places. The existing library of Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli started functioning in the year 1965 i.e. from the inception of the College of Agriculture, Dapoli. After the establishment of the university on 18th May 1972, the college library functioning as a university library from 1st January 1986 as it received the status of a university library. There are two separate college libraries at the main campus at Dapoli. The university library caters to the library needs of students of B.Sc. (Agri), M.Sc. (Agri), B.Sc. (Forestry), M.Sc. Forestry and B.Sc. (Horticulture), M.Sc. (Horticulture), B.Tech. (Agriculture Engineering), and research scholars of all faculties. Digital Library has been established with 10 Computer systems with an internet connection. Wi-Fi facility has been provided for laptop users. CCTV Web cameras have been fixed in the University Library and the entire building is under camera surveillance. RFID Technology of Document Identification, Self Check-In and Check-Out and Library Security System have been implemented for the library functions and services from 2015. The Library Advisory Committee is constituted under the Chairmanship of Director of Instruction.
• Boys Hostel
  The University has a boy’s hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

  The University has sports facilities for all students. • Medical/Hospital
  The Medical Unit has been established in 1979-80. Medical Unit provides medical facilities at the very affordable cost i.e. Rs.2/- for 7 days and Rs.5/- for 7 days for students and staff respectively. The unit has the following facilities. For emergency indoor patients, there is an arrangement for 6 beds. If the patient requires traction, it is given under the guidance of expert in Medical Unit with the help of Traction Unit. Diathermy machine which helps the patient to get relief from sever muscular pains. The facility of E.C.G. is made available for the students at the cost of Rs.50/- and for the staff @ Rs.100/- only
