Dr. S. M. Venkatpathi, the visionary industrialist with an unwavering commitment to education and social development, founded M.G. Charitable Trust in the year 1997.  Dr. Venkatpathi’s respect for his parents Sri Muniswamappa and Smt Gowramma, led him to embark on a journey in their name to create a lasting impact on the educational landscape with the establishment of East Point School in Kalyan Nagar, Bangalore. This marked the genesis of a visionary dream that has evolved into a distinguished legacy encompassing 14 premier educational institutions spanning across Medical, Allied Health Sciences, Engineering, Administration, Management, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Nursing, Pre-University, and School, all within the sprawling Jnanaprabha Campus at Bidarahalli.  The founder’s vision lives on with Smt. Ramadevi Venkatpathi, Chairperson, steering the trust forward.

Charitable Trust in East Bangalore offering a comprehensive educational spectrum, catering to students from Pre-K.G. to Ph.D., in varied disciplines of Humanities, Arts, Science, Health Sciences, Pharma Sciences, Medical Sciences and Higher Education, encompassing over 10,000 students from India and around the world. All the students of EPGI are trained on Basic English, Quantitative Aptitude, Soft skills and Technical skills right from 2nd Year level. Selection of the topics and methodology of training delivery is done by the mutual concern of: Industry experts, College experts (Management & Principal), Heads of the Department, Alumni along with T&P cell, thereby enabling us to choose the best training for the students. Department specific technical trainings are catered to the students to improve their career opportunities in their respective fields.

Placement Process
Department of Training and Placement emphasises in inculcating both attitude and aptitude in students, encourage them for hands on trainings, soft skills development and motivate them to incorporate relevant certification programmes by providing them the best infrastructure support, state of art laboratories, interaction with industry experts, motivational sessions etc.

At East Point, once the placement season commences, one can feel the vibrant environment, energy level of students on the campus. Department manages to get many reputed MNCs on campus thus places the eligible students of final year before they step out of the college. 1. The scholarship was established in the memory and respect of beloved Founder Chairman, Dr.S.M. Venkatpathi to provide financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students to enable them to pursue Professional and Technical courses.
2. Every year EPGI Offering Scholarships worth Rs. 2 crores is made available to the students.

Dr. S. M. Venkatpathi Scholarship:

M. G. Charitable Trust awards this Scholarship to meritorious students. Students can avail 100% Scholarship Awarded on a merit-cum-means basis. The total amount of Tuition Fee can be availed over the duration of the degree programme.

Library
Each block is equipped with well-designed library with a vast collection of reference books, textbooks and journals. Students also get Digital Library which is a part of the Central Library and acts as an Electronic Resource for academic knowledge.

Cafeteria
The cafeteria is located within the campus and provides a wide variety of Indian dishes.

Hostel
There are 10 hostels within the campus with separate blocks for Boys & Girls. Hostel with separate accommodation for UG and PG students, individual blocks for Boys and Girls. Guest room facilities available for visiting parents and guests. Students can avail the Laundry Services within the campus.
