Easwari Engineering College, a Division of Sri Ramaswamy Memorial Group (SRM GROUP) of Educational Institutions for Higher Learning, is functioning under the aegis of Valliammai Educational Society, since 1996 with the approval of the Government of Tamil Nadu and AICTE, New Delhi.  The Society was founded in the year 1975 by Thiru.T.R.Pachamuthu, a well-known Teacher and Educationist, for promoting the cause of Education.  Having developed the concept for true Education and intellectual integrity, the SRM Group focuses on providing world-class education.

Easwari Engineering College is a private self-financing institute located in 162, Bharathi Salai, Ramapuram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.  It is situated right next to SRM University and SRM Dental College.

Easwari Engineering College is an Autonomous affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and has obtained ISO 9001:2008 certification from TUV, South Asia.  The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.  It is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with ‘A’ grade as well as by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).  It is also ranked under the NIRF. 

The institute offers several undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in several specializations in the fields of Engineering & Technology, Computer Applications and Management Studies.  Courses offered include B.E (in 10 Disciplines), B.Tech (in 4 Disciplines), M.E ((in 10 Disciplines), Ph.D, M.S.(by Research), MCA, and MBA Degree Programs.  Admission is made through entrance exams such as TNEA, TANCET, TANCET MBA, TANCA.

With seven multi-storied Academic Blocks, Easwari Engineering College has top class infrastructural facilities like IT Infrastructure, Library, Hostels, Health Centre, Sports facilities, etc.  Other facilities within the campus include Food Courts and Canteens, Supermarket & Departmental Stores, Telecom Facilities, Bank / ATM (City Union Bank), DTP and Internet centers. Easwari Engineering College offers direct admission to BTech and seats are allocated to candidates through TNEA Counselling. For admission to M. Tech and MBA, a valid score of TANCET is required.

 Easwari Engineering College Chennai has a placement cell that conducts the campus placement. SRM EEC Placement Cell organises a variety of programmes in terms of career development including workshops, industry talks, industry visits, industry-based projects and many other activities. The placement cell is in charge of creating the annual recruitment programme, inviting organisations to campus for pre-placement talks followed by placements, and coordinating the process from beginning to end. Easwari Engineering College Chennai placement department maintains close relationships with industries, and well-organised campaigns are held to create job opportunities in addition to networking, communications, correspondence, and personal meetings. As per SRM EEC NIRF placement report for the year 2020-21, a total of 811 UG students out of 931 got placed in various organisations with a median salary of Rs. 5,00,000, while 120 students opted for higher studies.

 Easwari Engineering College (EEC), Chennai provides SC-ST SCC-Renewal scholarship to those students whose family background is financially weak and the criteria for the scholarship is that the candidate should belong to the category of SC-ST SCC caste. This Scholarship is granted for one semester and also will continue on the basis of academic performance in the next semesters.
