Ekalavya Institute of Technology is situated in Chamrajnagar in Karnataka state of India. It is a private unaided college which was established in the year 2009.  The Institute is served by SGN Charitable Trust which aims to provide quality education to the aspiring and deserving students using advanced teaching methodologies.

 
The EIT Campus is spread over a lush green18 acre land area with a serene environment and structured infrastructure at Ummathur village, Chamarajanagar, Karnataka. The campus is placed near a number of small towns like Chamarajanagar, Kollegal, T.Narasipur and Gundlupet which are just 25 km away from the campus. The institute is about 1.92Kilometers from Ummathur Bus stop and is well connected to Chamarajanagar and Mysore railways. Buses and rickshaws are available to and from the institute.

 
Ekalavya Institute of Technology is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi and is acknowledged by the Government of Karnataka.  The Institute has obtained accreditation from AICTE, New Delhi.

 
EIT, Chamrajnagar offers Diploma, UG and PG courses in Engineering. The popular courses offered are Diploma in Engg (in 2 disciplines), BTech (in 5 disciplines) and MTech (in 2 disciplines).  The eligibility for admissions to BTech is that the candidates must appear for relevant entrance examinations including KCET/M.  For MTech the candidates have to take the Karnataka PGCET - Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance or GATE.  The Institute offers various Scholarships like SC/ST, OBC Scholarship, Vidyashree Scholarship, State & Central Government based Scholarship, etc.

 
The institute offers various facilities on campus for students and Staff.  The Eklavya Institute of Technology facilities include, Academic Zone, Library, Computer Lab, Classrooms, separate Hostels for girls and boys, Medical Health Centre, Indoor & Outdoor Sports facilities for all students, excellent IT Infrastructure, Cafeteria for the staff and students, Auditorium facility for events and seminars and department programs.
