The candidate should have passed the UG Degree examination in the 10+2+3 stream, with the same main Subject in Part III, for which seeking admission to the B.Ed., Course.
Candidates who have taken more than one main subject in Part III (Double or Triple major) of the U.G. degree have to choose only one of the main subject and apply for that optional in B.Ed.
Candidates who have done their U.G. degree in Applied Chemistry, Biochemistry or Applied Physics can apply for Chemistry and Physics optional respectively in B.Ed, those who have done Environmental Science and Microbiology can apply for Biology optional in B.Ed,
Candidates have belongs to OC - 50%, BC 45, MBC - 43 & SC/ST pass in the relevant UG Degree course.
There is no Age Limit.

M.Ed. 2 Years
A candidate shall be eligible for admission to the course leading to the Degree of Master of Education provided he/she has passed a Bachelors Degree Examination in Education of this University or some other University recognized by the Syndicate as equivalent there to with a minimum of 50% marks in theory and practical separately.
The basis of selection of candidate for admission should be based on the existing regulations of the university/Government of Tamil Nadu.

Convention Centre
Excel Group Institutions have a well equipped Convention Centre with a seating capacity of over 2000 persons. The Excel Convention Centre is spacious, air-conditioned and has well a furnished Hall 25,375 sq. ft. in area with a stage measuring 30 x 98 ft. It has 12 fully-furnished suite rooms equipped with modern projection and audio system, and a fully air-conditioned Mini-Hall, measuring 8,729 sq. ft. in area. Library
The College has one of the finest central libraries in the District with an impressive collection of 43,610 books on varied topics with 10,302 titles. It has adequate reading space for students where they can study. It has over 100 journals and several subscriptions for Monthlies, Weeklies and Dailies. These form a unique educational support for the undergraduate, postgraduate, research students as well as the faculty members. It has computer cataloging and online access to famous libraries in different parts of the world.
ATM
The Excel Campus has 2 ATMs within its well-guarded compound walls for the benefit of the students, staff, and parents alike, so that the need for liquid cash at any time can be met without the worry of having to carry money in one’s custody in advance. There is an additional ATM adjacent to the Main Gate of the Excel Group Institutions, to the right side, that helps to avoid rush or having to wait in a queue.

Cafeteria & Canteen
The Canteen and Cafeteria located at vantage points within the campus help the hostel students as well as the day scholars to purchase their emergency stationery items, soft drinks and snacks. ‘The Food Court’ that serves international cuisines –vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian – is a treat for the palate of everyone.

Guest House
There is a Spacious and Luxurious Guest House named ‘The Welcome Block’ close to the Main Entrance where the parents and relatives of the students can stay with all comforts during their visits to their wards in the various Institutions of the Excel Group. The visiting professors and guest faculty are also accommodated here during the days of their duty.

Hostels
Excel Institutions provide excellent hostel facilities for students who have come far away from home for their education. Gymnasiums with a total of 42 Stations are provided in both Boys’ and Girls’ Hostels for ensuring the physical fitness of our students and also to alleviate their stress.

Sports & Games
The Department of Physical Education plays a pivotal role in the educative process going on in the various Departments of the EGIs. Every care is taken to provide the best infrastructural facilities for physical education through sports and games such as: Shuttle Badminton (16 Indoor Courts), Basket Ball (4 Cemented & Floodlit Courts), Volley Ball (3 Courts), Football (2 Pitches), Cricket (2 Pitches), and many more made to International Standards.

Parking Lots
All the roads in the vast and spread out Campus of EGIs have been macadamized and tarred, and each and every Block of building has been provided with Parking Lots for Two Wheelers as well as Four Wheelers.

Store
Excel makes provision for all the stationery as well as the store items needed by the students within easy reach and they can make photocopies of study materials at rationalized rates. The Store is stuffed with all the items they stand in need of and they do not have the need of approaching the shops outside the campus
Saloons / Beauty Parlors
Beauty Salons for boys and Beauty Parlors for girls are available inside their respective hostels so that they lack nothing for grooming themselves and looking smart.

For the benefit of the Students and Faculty Members, Excel Institution Buses are being Operated to near and far places like Sankari, Salem, Omalur, Mettur, Tiruchengode, Erode, Arachaloor, Anthiyur, Thindal, Bhavani, Chennimalai, Edappadi and Komarapalayam. Transport is arranged at convenient timings so as to reach the campus and back home in time. For this, a fleet of 59 buses have been inducted into operation.Public Transport is also convenient and frequent as the Main Gate of the EGIs is beside the National Highway-544 between Salem and Coimbatore.
