Admission Procedure

Excel Engineering College offers admissions for a range of undergraduate and postgraduate technical courses. The university has 13 departments that offer over 37 course specialisations. EEC offers the flagship B.Tech and BE courses (regular & Lateral entry). The fee for a B.Tech IT course is INR 2.2 Lakhs for 4 years, BE Computer Science & Engineering was INR 8.39 Lakhs for 4 years. Interested candidates may appear for the TNEA Exam and go through the counselling process to apply for the UG courses.

1. Management Scholarships

Excel promotes valuable education to all groups of people around the city and other nationals. In Excel we provide merit scholarship to the top graded students who have good aggregate score in their HSC Examinations.Each and Every academic year more number of students is getting merit scholarships through the SRET Trust.

2. National Scholarships

i. Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarship

This scholarship is only available to single girl children who are enrolled in a regular, full-time 1st-year Master’s degree course at any recognized university or postgraduate college.The girl candidate must be the only child of her parents. Simply put, only girl students who have no brothers, or twin or fraternal daughters, are eligible for this scholarship. If a family has both a son and a daughter, the daughter will not be eligible.Female students under the age of 30 at the time of admission to PG courses are eligible.

ii. Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities

The students belonging to religious minorities notified by the Government of India i.e., Muslims, Christians, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi and Jain communities who are pursuing Professional/Technical courses in the recognized Institutions.Students must score at least 50% or equivalent grades in their previous final exam. iii. National Scholarship for Minorities

3. Pragati Scholarship Scheme For Girls Student

Convention Centre

Excel Group Institutions have a well-equipped Convention Centre with a seating capacity of over 2000 persons. The Excel Convention Centre is spacious, air-conditioned and has well a furnished Hall 25,375 sq. ft. in area with a stage measuring 30 x 98 ft. It has 12 fully-furnished suite rooms equipped with modern projection and audio system, and a fully air-conditioned Mini-Hall, measuring 8,729 sq. ft. in area. In addition to a Dining Hall, and an open Car Parking Area that can accommodate 1000 cars. It provides ample opportunity for students to exhibit their talents in cultural activities.

Excel Data Center / Digital Hub

The vast Data Center with over 50 systems provide for the convenient project works of students late into the evening. The Blade Server connects 1700 systems within the campus, and upon an application, every student is given Wi-Fi Connection on Laptops and even Mobile Phones round the clock.

Library

The College has one of the finest central libraries in the District with an impressive collection of 43,610 books on varied topics with 10,302 titles. It has adequate reading space for students where they can study. It has over 100 journals and several subscriptions for Monthlies, Weeklies and Dailies. These form a unique educational support for the undergraduate, postgraduate, research students as well as the faculty members. It has computer cataloging and online access to famous libraries in different parts of the world.

ATM

The Excel Campus has 2 ATMs within its well-guarded compound walls for the benefit of the students, staff, and parents alike, so that the need for liquid cash at any time can be met without the worry of having to carry money in one’s custody in advance. There is a Spacious and Luxurious Guest House named ‘The Welcome Block’ close to the Main Entrance where the parents and relatives of the students can stay with all comforts during their visits to their wards in the various Institutions of the Excel Group. All the roads in the vast and spread out Campus of EGIs have been macadamized and tarred, and each and every Block of building has been provided with Parking Lots for Two Wheelers as well as Four Wheelers.

Excel makes provision for all the stationery as well as the store items needed by the students within easy reach and they can make photocopies of study materials at rationalized rates. The Store is stuffed with all the items they stand in need of and they do not have the need of approaching the shops outside the campus.

Transport

For the benefit of the Students and Faculty Members, Excel Institution Buses are being operated to near and far places like Sankari, Salem, Omalur, Mettur, Tiruchengode, Erode, Arachaloor, Anthiyur, Thindal, Bhavani, Chennimalai, Edappadi and Komarapalayam. Transport is arranged at convenient timings so as to reach the campus and back home in time. For this, a fleet of 59 buses have been inducted into operation.

Public Transport is also convenient and frequent as the Main Gate of the EGIs is beside the National Highway-544 between Salem and Coimbatore.
