Admission Procedure
Admission to the B.V.Sc. & A.H. program at Banaras Hindu University's Rajiv Gandhi South Campus (RGSC) in Barkachha for the current academic year (2025-26) is based on the merit index of the NEET UG 2024 examination, not a university-specific entrance test. Applicants must have passed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (with practicals), securing at least 50% marks (40% for SC/ST), and meet the age criteria. The process involves applying online, satisfying the eligibility, and securing admission via the NEET merit list.

Admission Process
Entrance Examination: Admission is based on the NEET 2024 examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates must appear for NEET and obtain a valid score to be eligible for admission.

3. Seat Distribution

Total Seats: 60 seats are available for the B.V.Sc. & A.H. program at RGSC. All India Quota: 15% of the total seats (approximately 9 seats) are reserved under the All India Quota by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI).
Eligiblity
1. Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 17 years old and not more than 25 years old as of 31st December 2024. For SC/ST/OBC candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years.

Educational Qualifications: Applicants should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with the following subjects:

Biology or Biotechnology

English (as a core subject)
The candidate must have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate in these subjects (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PC categories) and must have passed each of the aforementioned subjects individually.
