Admission Procedure

Admission to the B.V.Sc. & A.H. program at Banaras Hindu University's Rajiv Gandhi South Campus (RGSC) in Barkachha for the current academic year (2025-26) is based on the merit index of the NEET UG 2024 examination, not a university-specific entrance test. Applicants must have passed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (with practicals), securing at least 50% marks (40% for SC/ST), and meet the age criteria. The process involves applying online, satisfying the eligibility, and securing admission via the NEET merit list.

Admission Process

• Entrance Examination: Admission is based on the NEET 2024 examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates must appear for NEET and obtain a valid score to be eligible for admission. 

• Online Registration: Candidates must register online through the official BHU admission portal: https://bhuadm.samarth.edu.in. It's essential to have a valid and functional email ID for communication. 

• Application Fee:

  • ₹900 for General/OBC-NCL/EWS candidates

  • ₹450 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates

  The fee is non-refundable and can be paid online via credit/debit card. 

• Document Submission: Candidates must upload scanned copies of the following documents during the application process:

• • 10th and 12th Mark Sheets

  • Birth Certificate

  • Category Certificate (if applicable)

  • NEET Score Card

  • Passport-size Photographs

3. Seat Distribution

• Total Seats: 60 seats are available for the B.V.Sc. & A.H. program at RGSC. All India Quota: 15% of the total seats (approximately 9 seats) are reserved under the All India Quota by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI).

Eligiblity

1. Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 17 years old and not more than 25 years old as of 31st December 2024. For SC/ST/OBC candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years. 

• Educational Qualifications: Applicants should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with the following subjects:

  • Physics

  • Chemistry

  • Biology or Biotechnology

  • English (as a core subject)

  The candidate must have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate in these subjects (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PC categories) and must have passed each of the aforementioned subjects individually.

M.V.SC - 2 Years Course

Admission Process

• Online Registration: Candidates must register online through the official BHU admission portal: https://bhuadm.samarth.edu.in.

• Counseling: Admission is based on the merit list prepared from the candidates' OGPA in the B.V.Sc. & A.H. program. Counseling sessions will be conducted for seat allocation. 

• Application Fee:

  • ₹900 for General/OBC-NCL/EWS candidates

  • ₹450 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates

  The fee is non-refundable and can be paid online via credit/debit card. 

• Documents Required: Candidates must provide the following documents during the admission process:

  • B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Certificate

  • Transcripts

  • Transfer Certificate

  • Conduct Certificate

  • Migration Certificate (if applicable)

Eligiblity

• Educational Qualifications: Candidates must possess a B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree from a recognized institution.

• Minimum Marks:

  • 60% aggregate marks or an OGPA of 6.0/10 for General/OBC/EWS candidates.

  • 55% aggregate marks or an OGPA of 5.5/10 for SC/ST candidates.
