Admission Criteria

Scholarship

The college charges an annual fee ranging from INR 60,000 to INR 300,000, depending on the course and admission type. Tuition fees for one year are INR 180,000 without hostel fees, while NRI students pay INR 250,000 per year. Scholarships are available for reserved students, with specific scholarships like MMS, POST Matric, Paramedic, Medical, and Nursing scholarships offered.

Most students qualify for these scholarships. Christian candidates also have specific scholarships, though some students report not receiving any. Campus placements are rare for certain courses, but a stipend of INR 2,000 per month is provided during internships. The college assists with necessary documents for government loans, but does not directly offer loan support.

Placement

The college offers substantial opportunities for internships, particularly in the medical field, with a compulsory one-year rotating internship required for MBBS students. Interns receive hands-on training, focusing on patient safety and quality care, with stipends varying based on living arrangements; day scholars receive approximately Rs. 6000, while hostel residents receive about Rs. 4250 per month as of 2020. Although there is no traditional placement scenario due to the medical focus, the college hospital frequently absorbs graduates as doctors. Facilities Offered @ Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore

The Father Muller Central Library started functioning in 1985, in the premises of Homeopathic Medical College Block. The Central Library was shifted to the Mother and Child Health Block (Fr. Muller General Hospital) with all the modern facilities on 29th January 2000. It was a long-standing dream of the institution that the Library should have an independent building; thus the new building named as “Knowledge Centre” with the state of the art facilities was inaugurated on 16th June 2011. The four storied complex consists of Central Library with Postgraduate and Undergraduate Sections, Reading Halls, e-Library and two spacious ultra modern conference halls.

Father Muller College of Speech & Hearing organized Inter Collegiate Yogasana Competitions – Men & Women on 11.02.2021. Teams from 09 Colleges participated in the event. FMCOSH Women’s team won the 3rd place in this competition.

• FMMC Men & Women Team of Table Tennis were the Winners in the Zonal Inter College Tournament organized by Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy, Mangalore held on 6th August & 7th August 2019.
• FMMC Men & Women Team of Chess Tournament were the Runners of RGUHS Mysore Zone Chess Tournament organized by Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing, Mangalore held on 4th September to 5th September 2019.

Father Muller Medical college Alumni organized 6th Alumni day on 29th December 2012 in Moti Mahal Hotel, Mangalore at 7:30 pm. The chief guest of the occasion was Rev.Fr.Patrick Rodrigues, Director FMCI.It was well attended by 150 alumni, 1999 batch were represented with maximum number.
