GMIT - GM Institute of Technology Application ProcessCandidates must have passed Bachelor's degree of minimum of 3 years duration examination or equivalent and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks (45% of marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates).

Training & Placement

The T&P Dept plays a crucial role in providing job opportunities for Under Graduates and Post Graduates passing out from the college by keeping in touch with world class industries. The T&P Dept operates round the year to facilitate contacts between companies and graduates. The number of students placed through the campus interviews is continuously rising. On invitation, many reputed industries visit our institute to conduct interview process.
The T&P Dept organizes career guidance programmes for all the students starting from first year. Tarranges training for students on employability skills. And also responsible for making students industry ready.
All the Placement associated activities are handled by the Training and Placement Dept. (T&P Dept) of the institute. The T&P consists of Placement Officer, Faculty placement coordinators, Student Placement coordinators working round the clock to provide the best possible services to the visiting organization

Campus Placement SupportOur Campus recruitment program starts by the beginning of the final year. We send our college proposal to different company HRs and we invite them to conduct interview process in our campus. The on Campus recruitment program keeps continuing till the end of their final Semester. Offer support for our students by arranging Off-Campus Interviews also.

Facilities

A spacious Visitors' Lounge has recently been added for the benefit of visiting parents/guardians, supplementing the residential guest house facilities available. The spotlessly maintained and spacious vegetarian dining halls in the hostels serve wholesome, nutritious food with the help of a unique steam cooking facility.

A variety of hygienic food facilities are availble in our Hostels. Gymanaisiums - 2 Indoor games hall and shuttle court Snooker table Recreation hall Washing machine with clothe pressing facility Solar and diesel boiler water heating for bathing and Out door games in the hostel premises

Library

The GM Central Library & Information Centre is housed in the Center of G M I T Campus & having two floors including ground floor, measuring an area of 2540 Sq.m There are 8 qualified staff members are working in the library, having 500 seating capacity. To cater to the needs of the staff/ students, to have easy and speedy access to the library collection, the house keeping operations of library have been automated using GMIT ERP software package.
It has adopted open access system and maintains Online Public Access catalogue (OPAC) to provide easy access to the stacks.
The library subscribes 72 print journals, 7 print Magazines and subscribing e-journals through VTU Consortium.
Library is an essential part of every institution which helps staff and students to enhance the knowledge through various resources such as books, Newspapers, Journals, Magazines and Electronic Library. Our institution library provides Borrowing, Book Bank, OPAC, Reference services, digital library with high speed internet facilities , Reprographic, Wi-Fi etc,.
In addition to the Central library, the Engineering departments have exclusive department libraries also for quick and easy access of books by staff and students.
