About GIMSR
GIMSR Hospital that was started in 2014 spread its wings into a medical college with the first batch of its UG students joining in the year 2015. Currently, the institution has 600 undergraduate students and started PG Programmes in the Academic year 2021-22 in 12 clinical and 2 para-Clinical disciplinaries.

GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, popularly known as GIMSR, was established in the year 2015. It is the first deemed medical college in the private sector in Andhra Pradesh, established beside the picturesque GITAM (Deemed to be University) in Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam, with all modern amenities conducive to student learning. Today, GIMSR is a name synonymous with quality medical education which attracts people not only from Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring Telangana but also from other states across India.

GIMSR has one of the most pleasing learning environments in Andhra Pradesh with infrastructure and faculty that support students to hone their skills to become outstanding medical professionals. Eligibility
Candidates should satisfy the eligibility requirement as per the NEET UG (MBBS) Information Brochure - 2023 of MCC Counseling and the eligibility requirements as prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

NEET - UG Counseling 2023 is conducted online by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), DGHS, New Delhi for admission to MBBS Course offered by Deemed Universities.

All the Participating Candidates are hereby advised to read carefully the Information Bulletin, Counseling procedure, Institute information and Seat matrix posted on the official website of MCC i.e., mcc.nic.in and get registered for seeking admission to MBBS Course in GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (GIMSR), GITAM (Deemed to be University), Visakhapatnam.

GITAM Visakhapatnam placements 2022 has been concluded with more than 1520 offers. GITAM Visakhapatnam highest package stood at INR 46.50 LPA, which was offered by Amazon India.

GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research has not released the official placement report. However, some of the students have disclosed the details on the Shiksha review page. As per the data, 60% of students were placed in recent years' drives. The GIMSR highest package and lowest package stood at INR 5.6 LPA and INR 2.4 LPA, respectively. Additionally, 100% of the students received internships at GIMSR Hospital. Some of the popular job roles offered during GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research placements were Anasthesian, Drug Advisor, Duty Doctor, etc.

At GITAM, we have established a Unified Student Scholarship Framework to ensure that deserving candidates receive the necessary financial assistance. The framework is approved under the following conditions: Admissions through scholarships will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

GIMSR Visakhapatnam facilities include a central library which is centrally air-conditioned and has a vast collection of recent textbooks and reference materials. Safety security, TV rooms and indoor gym facilities are the facilities available for students in hostels. The institute has GIMSR Visakhapatnam sports facilities for indoor and outdoor games.
