Government Dental College, Alappuzha, is the fourth Government Dental College in Kerala and the only center in the public sector offering specialty dental services to the four districts of Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kollam, and Ernakulam. Since its inception, the college has made remarkable strides in dental education and healthcare, producing highly skilled professionals who contribute to the global dental community.

Five batches of students have successfully completed their courses, and many of our alumni have gained admission to prestigious postgraduate programs at institutions like AIIMS and other renowned dental colleges. Admission Criteria

Admission Process

GDC Alappuzha offers admission to BDS on the basis of the score obtained by the candidates in NEET UG. Candidates obtaining a valid score in the entrance exam must then appear for the State-level Counselling for admission to the college. Kerala NEET Counselling is conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams (CEE), Kerala.

Visit the official website of the Kerala NEET Counselling https://cee.kerala.gov.in/main.php for registration. Register by filling out details such as name, NEET roll no, and mobile number. Complete the remaining application form with personal and educational details. Upload the required educational documents with a photograph and signature. Candidates can select GDC Alappuzha as their preference during choice filling and locking. Pay the application form fees and download the confirmation page. CEE will release the results of selected candidates under the state quota. After the seat allotment is done, results are released by CEE. Candidates must report to the college for document verification and pay the admission fees.

BDS Eligibility

Course Fee: INR 25,000 Completed 10+2 with 50% marks in PCB (40% Aggregate marks for SC/ST).

Placement

The internship is part of the GDC Alappuzha curriculum. After completing the BDS course, all students must complete one year of internship.

Scholarship

National Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies (UGC) First-time PG students under 30 in UGC-recognized full-time programs.
