Admission Procedure

Admission Criteria

BDS Admission 

Government Dental College, Kozhikode offers BDS admission to students based on the scores obtained in NEET UG. It is a 5 years programme including one year of compulsory internship. Candidates who want to secure a seat in BDS at GDC Kozhikode have to go through the counselling process conducted by MCC and CEE, Kerala

MDS Admission 

GDC Kozhikode provides admission to the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) at the postgraduate level. Admission to this course is based on merit in NEET MDS followed by the completion of the counselling process. The All India Counseling process is conducted by MCC for providing admission to 50% of MDS seats at GDC Kozhikode. The remaining 50% of MDS seats are reserved for Kerala students which are filled by the Kerala State Counseling process.

Placement

• Being a government dental college, placement is not handled like engineering institutes.

• After BDS, graduates undergo a compulsory rotating internship that provides real-world experience in clinical dentistry.
