The Government Dharmapuri Medical College is an educational institution established in 2008.  The Foundation stone was laid down by the then deputy CM M.K Stalin on 19.01.2010. It has performed around 3000 surgeries under the Chief Ministers Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme.

Government Medical College, Dharmapuri is set in 29.32 acres of picturesque land on the Salem Main Road, Nethaji Bypass Road, Indhira Nagar, Dharmapuri (Behind G H Hospital, Indhira Nagar). This Medical College is linked to the different parts of the town by bus routes and is very near to the National Highway NH-47.  The nearest railway station is just a few meters away from the college.

Government Dharamapuri Medical College is Affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai and is Approved By NMC, New Delhi.

The Government Medical College offers several courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels to students in the field of medical science. The UG course offered covers the MBBS program. At the PG level, the college provides MD and MS programs in various domains. Candidates seeking admission to the college must satisfy the eligibility criteria. The college accepts 100 students per year, of which 85 are state quota seats and 15 are from the All India quota. GDMC Dharmapuri admissions to the UG and PG courses depend on the NEET and NEET-PG examination rank, respectively.

Admission Process

• Qualify the NEET-UG exam conducted by NTA.
