Government Engineering College Kushalnagar (GECK)

Government Engineering College Kushalnagar (GECK) is one of the 10 Engineering College established in the year 2007 by Government of Karnataka along. The primary aim of establishing the college is to provide quality technical education to the aspiring students and to achieve academic excellence in UG program at affordable cost.

The GECK Campus is set in a scenic green expanse of 10 acres of land at the Gateway of Kodagu (Coorg), Beside Mandovi Motors, Madapatna, Mysore - Madikeri Road SH 88, Kushalnagar, Karnataka.  It is at  an arms distance from the District Headquarters, 2 kms from Kushalnagar and 30 kms from Madikeri with close proximity to Bus Station which connects one easily to any part of the city.   

Government Engineering College Kushalnagar is Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgavi and approved by All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE), New Delhi. 

GECK offered undergraduate program BE Degree in four disciplines - Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering with a Intake of 60 students for each branch as per the VTU guidelines. The college also offers PhD program.  All admissions to the college are made through Common Entance Test (CET) conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), Bengaluru.

The modern GECK campus is equipped with facilities like Computer Lab, Library, Hostel, Sports and Cultural facilities coupled with experienced faculty, fostering an ideal environment for academic achievement and research. The institution plays a pivotal role in advancing technical education, fostering innovation, and contributing to the growth and development of the engineering sector in the region.
