Government Law College, Theni - GLC-THN was established by the Tamil Nadu Government in the picturesque town of Theni. Stalin, inaugurated the majestic building of the Government Law College, Theni, It is affiliated with Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai, and is recognized by the Bar Council of India. The college aims to provide high-quality legal education to a broad population, with a special focus on individuals from rural and remote areas. Theni is home to the District Court and several subordinate courts, and the Madurai bench of the Hon’ble Madras High Court is easily accessible from the town. Government Law College, Theni is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The Law College offers 5-Year Integrated B.A., LL.B. course with 120 students in each year of the course and 3-Year LL.B. Course with another 120 students in each year of the course. The College is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai and approved by the Bar Council of India. The College provides quality legal education to large segment of population and particular to the group such as those living in remote and rural areas

Eligibility for the Undergraduate Integrated 5 Year B.A., LL.B Course allows candidates who have passed the qualifying examination under 10+2 pattern with not less than 45% of marks which is recognized by the syndicate as equivalent to Higher Secondary Examination of the Government of Tamil Nadu, are eligible for admission.For S.C./S.T. candidates concession of 5% marks in the minimum of marks required for admission for B.L. 5 year Degree Course of study as prescribed in the regulations will be given.

Eligibility for the Undergraduate 3 Year LL.B Course is allowed for candidates who have passed a Three year Degree Examination of Universities in Tamil Nadu and Such degree awarded by Member Universities of Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi for purpose of mutual recognition on reciprocal basis, after 10+2+3+ or 11+1+3 pattern and also recognized by Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University alone are eligible for admission to B.L. (3 years) Degree Course.Scholarships are available for all students meeting the eligibility norms as per specific G.O issued by the Govt of Tamil Nadu. Admission Procedure:

Admission to 3 Year (B.L. ) / 5 Year (B.A. B.L.) Degree Course is based on Academic Merit through counseling.Candidates must apply through TNDALU's official admission portal,Admissions are based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination (12th standard). No separate entrance test is conducted,Shortlisted candidates are invited for counseling sessions where seat allotment is done based on merit and preference.Upon seat allotment, candidates must verify their documents and complete the admission formalities at the college.

Admission Process
