Government Medical College, Karur (GMC-Karur) was established in the year 2019 and it aims to provide the high-quality learning environment for those undertaking taught and research degrees awarded by Karur GMC in the Faculty of Medicine. Teaching and Training for M.B.B.S. Degree at Karur GMC are focused on health improvement, disease prevention, and cure as well as fundamental understanding. The College offers Under Graduate MBBS Course of 5.5 Years duration (4.5 Years of Theory and 1 Year of Internship) The authorised Annual Intake per course is 150 Students. The Admission Eligibility to M.B.B.S Course is completion of 10+2 with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology, along with English. Admission is through the NEET UG exam, specifically Tamil Nadu NEET for state quota seats.
