It was established in 2024 by the Government of Telangana under the State Health Department initiative to expand medical education across the state. Being a public government college, it operates without a private trust.  After NEET result, the counselling/seat allotment is done through the state quota (by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Telangana) for about 85 % seats and via the All India Quota (AIQ) for about 15 % seats.

 Candidates must register, fill preferences, complete document verification and report to the college after allotment.

• The candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Biotechnology) and English as subjects.
