Government Medical College, Nagapattinam is a co-educational college located in the town of Kallakurichi in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.  It was established in 2021 by the Government of Tamil Nadu to provide quality medical education to students from the region and to address the shortage of doctors in the state.  Dr V Visvanathan is the current dean of the college.

The Government Medical College Nagapattinam campus is spread over 100 Acres of land in Manalmedu, Orathur Village, Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu.  

Government Medical College, Nagapattinam is Approved by NMC and Affiliated to The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai.

Government Medical College, Nagapattinam is well-known for its MBBS course, offers the UG Degree program in Medicine & Health Sciences in Full Time mode. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college. These programs are delivered by highly experienced faculty.  The Institute offers a course that is approved by NMC.
