Government Sivagangai Medical College & Hospital is one of the prestigious medical institutes founded in the year 2012-13 in Sivagangai district with an annual intake of 100 students for MBBS Course.   Popularly known as Sivagangai Medical College, it aims to provide quality education with excellent infrastructure.

Government Sivagangai Medical College and Hospital has been raised in an area of 50 acres and is located about 4 km from the main town on the route to Manamadurai in Mela Vaniangudi village, Manamadurai road, Sivagangai District, Tamilnadu.  It is situated 3 km from the Sivagangai Railway station and 2 km from the bus stand.

GSMCH  is affiliated to The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai and recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC) and has an annual intake of 100 seats in MBBS.

Admission Process

• Appear in NEET-UG.

• Counseling & Seat Allocation:

  • 15% seats via All India Quota by MCC.

  • 85% seats via Tamil Nadu State Quota by DME, Tamil Nadu .

• Reporting & Document Verification: Submit required certificates upon seat allotment

Eligiblity

• Age: Must be at least 17 years old on or before December 31 of the admission year .

• Educational Qualifications:

  • Completed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.

  • Minimum aggregate in PCB subjects:

    • General: ≥ 50%

    • OBC/SC/ST: ≥ 40%

    • PwBD: ≥ 45%.
