Geetha Shishu Shikshana Sangha Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women, Mysore is the first exclusive women’s engineering college in the State of Karnataka established in the year 2006. The GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women is run by the Geetha Shishu Shikshana Sangha (R), a non-profit organization also located in Mysore. Managed by the WHO'S WHO of Mysore, GSSS(R) is a non-profit organization which is focused towards value addition in terms of providing best of infrastructure and services for the cause of education.

 
GSSSIETW Mysore is Campus is located in a sprawling 11 acres of land on the KRS Road, Metagalli, Mysore, Karnataka. The institute is strategically located and can be easily reached via local transport such as auto rickshaws, cabs and buses.

 
Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, this private institution offers technical education and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. GSSSIETW Mysore has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) with validity upto 2026. It has been accredited with GRADE “A” by the National Accreditation Assessment Committee (NAAC), New Delhi.

 
GSSSIETW Mysore courses include UG and PG courses in different branches of engineering namely BE/Btech in 6 Disciplines viz., Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Information Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science branches and M. Tech Programs in 2 disciplines.  It also offers an MBA Degree Program under the 3 specializations viz. Marketing Management, Human Resource Management and Financial Management. Aspiring candidates must ensure to fulfill the college eligibility criteria before applying to the institute. The admissions for these courses are done on the basis of KCET and COMED-K UGET for UG programs. The admissions to the postgraduate courses are done on the basis of Karnataka PGCET / GATE scores for engineering courses and Karnataka PGCET MBA for the MBA course.

The department is responsible for contacting companies to explore job and internship opportunities for students and inviting companies for conducting placement drives at GSSSIETW Mysore.  Admission Procedure - UG

Eligibility criteria

• The candidate shall have passed the second year Pre-University or XII standard or equivalent examination recognized by the University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology, and has secured not less than 45% of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the languages.

About Placement Department

GSSSIETW is the first exclusive women’s engineering college, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. The Institution has a full-fledged Placement Department for a seamless conduction of placement and recruitment activities. Placement Department plays a pivotal role in counseling and guiding students for their successful career placements. Placement Department is not only responsible for achieving complete placement of students, but also caters to pre-placement training, Industry-Institute partnerships and MoUs with corporates.

GSSSIETW Merit Scholarship for students of GSSSIETW : 

GSSSIETW management has announced “GSSSIETW MERIT SCHOLARSHIP” for the students of GSSSIETW from the academic year 2016-17. The total worth of scholarship is Rs.10 Lakh which will be distributed amongst all the eligible and selected students who will be fulfilling the following criteria:

• Only students of GSSSIETW are eligible to apply.
• Students with good academic record and without backlogs only need to apply.
• Students going to II, III, and IV year in the AY 2016-17 having good academic performance in the previous academic semesters/years are eligible to apply.
• Weightage will be given for both Co-curricular and Extra-Curricular activities and attendance of the student.
• Economic condition of the student will also be considered.
• Students who have applied for scholarship under following category need not apply.

3. Directorate of Technical Education.

GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women has built up a reputation of higher academic standards in all branches of Engineering & Technology and Management including science since 2003 through a true dedication and hard work of the management and staff with high end facilities. The institution has got wonderful library facilities to feed the requirement for all the stake holders to excel in their domain. The library has adopted a computerized facility which is user friendly and provides accessing books. The library has a huge collection of over 40459 books & around 14582 E-books along with CD's and DVD's apart from the latest Journals and Periodicals.

The GSSSIETW library consists of a central library and seven departmental libraries which collectively support the teaching - learning, research and development and extension programmes of the institution.

GSSSIETW library is setting time to time new goals and successful in achieving all the goals. It has emerged as modern library with its state of the art facilities and good infrastructure.

Coffee shop : College has a spacious, airy, well furnished and hygienic canteen on campus, not only for physical refreshment but also for student bonding, discussions and even work on assignments and projects. Canteen can accommodate more than 100 students. Coffee bar in the campus provides light refreshments and chats.

Stationery Shop

• CCTV

A closed-circuit television camera (CCTV camera) can produce images or recordings for surveillance. The campus is facilitated with CCTV cameras to have constant monitoring of the Institutional activities. This ensures safety and security of the students.
The GSSSIETW campus has 29 CCTV cameras in the academic block-A, 7 cameras in the academic block-B, 20 cameras in the academic block-D, 31 cameras in the hostel building and 5 Cameras at the main gate. All the cameras are of Hikvision make.

Hostel

Each room is designed for three inmates. The room comes with an attached bath that is modern and suited to international standards. Each student has a separate wardrobe, study table, chair, cot and pin-up board.

BLOCK A - is home to pre-final and final year students. A modern kitchen with steam cooking facility and mechanised food processing equipment is located in this block. Pure vegetarian food is cooked using best quality ingredients in hygienic conditions.

A clean dining hall with mineral water for drinking is located adjacent to the kitchen.

BLOCK B - houses the second year students. A coffee shop and student's amenities center that caters to the students requirements like photocopying, spiral binding, lamination, mobile recharge and many more is housed in this block.

BLOCK C - offers stay for freshers exclusively. It also houses the quarters of the resident warden so that utmost care and attention is given to students who leave home for the first time to lead the life of a hostelite.

MEDICAL FACILITIES

A lady doctor visits the hostel for consultation thrice a week. A nurse is available 24 hrs to take care of sick students.

VEHICLE FACILITY

A dedicated vehicle for the hostelites is available on the campus to transport sick students to the hospital in case of emergency.

DORMITORY

6 and 8 sharing will be provided with individual wardrobe, study table, chair and cot. A common bath and washroom facility with hot water, lift, 24x7 power backup and security will be provided.
