G I S A T (Gurudeva Institute of science and technology) is located in a beautiful landscape of 17 acres at Puthupally, about 10 km east of Kottayam town. The atmosphere at GISAT is ideal for learning and it provides a platform for budding engineers to think creatively and come up with new ideas that can change the world. The college started functioning during the year 2010. The aim of this institution is to provide quality engineering education at an affordable fees without compromising in quality and content.

About Placement Cell
Gurudeva Institute of science and technology (GISAT) give a lot of emphasis to the training and placement requirements of the student community. There are many training programs that are schemed to groom the students according to meet the requirements of the industry. During the semesters specific time dedicated for co-curicular activities with a special focus to placement oriented training aimed at the overall development of the students. The placement activities are aligned to meet the current challenges and the emerging market scenarios. All the students are made to go through a series of aptitude training, analytical quantitative, logical and reasoning training and soft skill enhancement training programs during their course.

Training and Placement Cell arranges and coordinates various programmes that aim at moulding the students so as to meet the industry expectations in career building and in turn bring laurels to the parent institution. The Training and Placement Cell, guided by a set of rules and principles, strives to maintain good relationship with industries. Preparing the recruitment schedule for the year, inviting corporations for pre-placement talks on the campus followed by final placements, and overseeing the process to its end,is the responsibility of the Training and Placement Cell. The Cell endeavors to carry out successfully all the processes methodically throughout the year.

Training Activities
The students are trained to attain placement through a variety of programmes run by the Placement & Training Cell such as Industry to Institute Programmes, Training Programmes in the areas of Aptitude, Quantitative Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Verbal through the Reputed External Training centers, technical training programmes, Language learning programmes, Training through Mock Interviews, etc

Central Library
The pride of the institution is the central library which caters to the instable knowledge thirst of the voracious readers. It provides a serene atmosphere for deeper and concentrated study. The library has been fully automated, Open Access System is followed and Online Public Access Catalogue service is made available to all staff and students. The college has an institutional membership with IEEE, ASTM, J-GATE,SPRINGER,SCIENCEDIRECT.

Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules are used for creating book database in GRANDHASOFT Software. Automatic circulation system is used in the library. A good collection of CD-ROMs are maintained as part of the digital library and a good number of full-text Online Journals can be accessed through E-Journal consortium. Wi-Fi enabled E-journals search facility is also provided to improve the R&D standard for faculty.

Food Court & Hostel
The Food Court at GISAT campus provides with variety of delicious food items including Snacks, Juices, Soft Drinks etc.

In Campus Girls Hostel at the top of beautiful Vennimala Hill can accommodate more than 100 students and Boys are facilitated with Out Campus Hostel very close to GISAT campus.

Competitive Exams Training
GISAT providing top class training for interested students in Civil Service & Defense Service Entrance, with the in house training from GAMBIT Academy. The Civil Services Examination in India conducted by the UPSC for recruitment to various Civil Services of the Government of India, including IAS, Indian Foreign Service (IFS), IPS, Indian Revenue Service (IRS) etc.

Converyance
A fleet of buses are plying from far flung areas of Kottayam and nearby districts for the convenience of students. At present, the destinations include Thiruvalla, Changana cherry, Ponkunnam, Pallickathodu, Kottayam, Bund road, Kumarakom, Ettumanoor, Kidangoor, Ayarkunnam, Manimala, Pakkil, Kurichi, Mallappally and Karukachal. It is intended to supplement the fleet this year to cover more destinations.
