Hirasugar Institute of Technology (HIT)

Established in 1996, Hirasugar Institute of Technology is a Private UnAided college situated in Belgaum by Shri Jagadguru Pancham Nijalingeshwar (SJPN) Trust was founded in the year 1984 with the sole purpose of imparting provide Engineering Education to the rural youth of this region. The Students are educated in a spiritual atmosphere under the blessings of His Holiness Mahaswamiji of Shri Math by adopting self-service, participative & cooperative learning and leadership practices along with academics.

 
Spread over 48+ acres, the picturesque HIT Campus boasts of buildings with striking architectural beauty.  The Institute is located in Nidasoshi, Taq: Hukkeri, Belgavi, Karnataka.

 
HIT is Permanently Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgavi and Recognised by UGC. The Institute is approved by AICTE and Accredited by NAAC at 'A' Grade and NBA (CSE & ECE).

 
Hirasugar Institute of Technology offers 5 UG courses in engineering namely:

B.E. - Civil Engineering                                                60 seats

B.E. - Computer Science & Engineering                   120 seats

B.E. - Electronics & Communication Engineering     120 seats

B.E. - Electrical & Electronics Engineering                60 seats

B.E. - Mechanical Engineering                                    60 seats

The students have to appear for the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Govt. of Karnataka.

The T & P Cell is assisted by a committee comprising representatives of students from the different engineering streams which evolves a broad policy framework and a set of rules which are inviolable. Eligibility Criteria For Admission:

i) Academic eligibility to seek admission to I year/ I semester B.E./B.Tech. programmes only for the academic year 2021-22 is as under:
"Passed in 2nd PUC/ 12th Standard examination with English as one of the Languages, Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Electronics/ Computer Science."

ii) The students, who have passed a qualifying examination other than the PUC II examination of the Pre-University Education Board of Karnataka, have to obtain eligibility certificate for seeking admission to BE/B.Tech Degree Programme from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi.

The Training & Placement Cell @ HIT-Nidasoshi facilitates the process of placement of students passing out from the Institute besides collaborating with leading organizations and institutes in setting up of internship and training program of students.
The T & P Cell liaises with various industrial establishments, corporate houses etc. which conduct campus interviews and select graduating engineering students from all disciplines. The T & P Cell provides the infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions, written tests and personal interviews besides catering to other logistics requirements.
The placement season runs through the course of the year commencing the last week of July through to March. Pre-Placement Talks are also conducted in this regard as per mutual convenience. Job offers, dates of interviews, selection of candidates etc. are announced through the Training & Placement Cell.
The T & P Cell is assisted by a committee comprising representatives of students from the different engineering streams. Internet & WiFi

Internet facility is available with Leased line connection of 36 Mbps, distributed throughout the campus through LAN & Wi-Fi. The entire college campus is covered with 36 Wi-Fi Access points, to access Internet and Intranet educational resources. The Wi-Fi facility is also available in both Ladies & Boys hostels through OFC backbone and 19 access points.

Transportation Services

The institute has a fleet of vehicles plying between Sankeshwar, a near by town at a distance of 7 km, and the Campus to help the students commute from various parts of this region
