H.K.E Society's S.L.N College of Engineering was founded in the year 1979 by H. K. E. Society of Kalaburgi.  Hyderabad Karnataka Education Society popularly known as H.K.E. Society, was established in 1958 by Late Sri Mahadevappa Rampure in Gulbarga. The Society is unique in terms of its objective to impart education in the backward areas, with education facilities at par with those enjoyed by affluent class in developed areas.

 
SLVCE campus is spread over a sprawling 79 acres of land and is located in Yeramarus Camp, Raichur, Karnataka.  It contains various buildings with striking architecture, state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories making it a substantial space for learning and innovation!

 
SLNCE is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.  Its undergraduate programs are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

 
It offers UG programs in the field of Engineering and PG in Management.   SLNCE offers BE Degree course in 4 Disciplines (viz. Civil, Mechanical, ECE and CScE and MBA in 3 specialisations (viz. Finance, Marketing and Human Resources).  It also offers Research programs in two disciplines.

 
SLN College of Engineering provides all  essential Facilities like Library, Boys & Girls Hostel, Gym, Computer Network,  Indoor and Outdoor Sports facilities, Seminar Hall, Reprographic Facilities, Bank, Canteen, Medical Facilities, Transportation, Printing Press, Post Office, etc. 

 
Apart from academics the college encourages and motivates the students by organizing various Co-curricular and Extra-curricular Activities.  SLNCE provides avenues for developing Technical skills, updating Knowledge on state-of-the-art subjects, Personality Development, Tribal Service and Service to the Society through the following professional societies and associations, each of which is coordinated by a faculty advisor who guides the students.

Over the years, the Institute has made continuous efforts to develop the SLNCE Placement Cell into a full-fledged independent Department. The Cell functions with a two-fold thrust: to Enhance Employability Skills of Students (Career Development) and to organize Campus Interviews.  Year Long Technical activities and Training programs augment student skills and refine their career competitiveness. Regular Industrial Visits with partial financial assistance from Institute is helping students to take up need based Project works.

 
The focus is on enhancing the all round personality and employability of all the students.  To that effect it organizes various Training programs like Communication Skills, Quantitative and Logical Thinking, Leadership Qualities, Mock interviews and GDs, regular evaluation of upgraded skills, interaction with Industry/Corporate leaders, Interaction/training through Alumni, Off Campus Coaching through professional Trainers like Builders Association of India etc., coaching for Competitive exams like GATE, CAT etc. and Career Development activities support Placement by modular, intensive coaching as per industry needs.

 
In last four and a half decades SLNCE has established itself as a leading Technical Institution in Hyderabad-Karnataka region and has achieved many milestones. The strength of the Institute is its Teaching faculty. Seventy five percent of staff is with teaching experience of 25+ years. This fact is reflected in the University results and career opportunities enjoyed by alumni. The personal care & student counseling off and on campus, make students feel at home and render themselves for complete personality development.

H K E Society's SLN College of Engineering Application Process. Candidates must have passed Bachelor's degree of minimum of 3 years duration examination or equivalent and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks (45% of marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates).

Consultancy
The Consultancy Cell in the Civil Engineering Department provides services worth more than Rs. 2 Lakhs every month, and is also ISO 9001:2015 certified.

Power
The college has three generators with a total backup supply of 122.5 kVA for use in case of power failure. Most of the laboratories are equipped with UPS facility.

Sports, Co-curricular and Extra-curricular Activities
The college also gives emphasis for overall development of the students, by encouraging them to participate in indoor and outdoor sports, cultural activities, seminars, excursions, industrial tours, and technical exhibitions.

Apart from the Students Council of the college, all departments have students' associations which conduct several cultural and sport activities throughout the year. Organizing seminars, workshops, special lectures, educational and industrial visits, paper presentation contests, technical quizzes, etc. are some of the activities of these associations. The college regularly conducts Project Exhibitions to encourage the final year students and help them in public speaking and behavioral studies. These exhibitions are kept open for public. The college brings out a quarterly News Letter publishing the events of the campus. This is covered under the society's newsletter.
