About 

IFET College of Engineering is a leading higher education, private, co-educational institution established in Villupuram.  It was founded in1998 by some eminent Industrialists and somegood-hearted NRIs, under the aegis of the Indo French Educational Trust (IFET) which is committed to promote education and research in the field of Engineering and Technology and to collate and disseminate in these fields with effective ideas, methods and techniques. The Trust has dedicated itself in educating and helping the rural youth in acquiring an understanding of Technology and its importance and value in day-to-day life as its vision.

Vimal-Treasurer. The Institution has gradually matured in all dimensions to establish a high standard of competence and excellence in Engineering & Technology and more recently in Management.This IEFT College of Engineering is located in 30.29 acres of land in IFET Nagar, Gangarampalayam Post, Valavanur Villupuram, Tamil Nadu.
 

IFET College of Engineering is an ISO 9000:2008 certified institution and is permanently Affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.  It was accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and has been awarded a ’ B’ grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
 

IFET College of Engineering offers a range of 11 UG courses in Full Time mode.  These courses are aimed to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge in their field of interest.  Candidate can pursue in multiple range of courses like B.E. / B.Tech, MBA/PGDM, M.E./M.Tech with the stream of Engineering and Business & Management Studies. From introductory courses to more advanced topics, there are a variety of courses to choose from.   The accepted Exams for BE/BTech is TNEA and CBSE 12th.  For MBA/PGDM it is TANCET and for ME/MTech  the Exams Accepted are GATE / CEETA.

Admission Procedure

IFET runs BE and B.Tech programs at the UG level and. ME and MBA at the PG level. Admissions for UG are merit based while PG admissions are entrance based. The minimum eligibility requirement for admission to BE or B.Tech course is candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized Board. On the other hand, applicants with a BE or B.Tech degree are eligible to apply for ME or for MBA with graduation in any stream.

Admission to BE or B.Tech course is through TNEA Counselling conducted by Anna University.

Eligibility

Passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. Having an overall aggregate of 50%.

M.E / M.B.A - 2 Year Course

Admission Process

• M.E. course seats will be allotted based on TANCET/ GATE scores through TANCA Counselling.
  
• Admission to the MBA program is based on TANCET scores. Followed by TANCA MBA Counselling.
  
• All applications are available online for admission, entrance or counselling.

Eligibility

• Students can get admission to the M.Tech program if they have a relevant degree in B.E/B.Tech or equivalent with 60% aggregate.
  
• The merit list is prepared to give 50% weightage to aggregate marks of B.E./B.Tech./equivalent degree and 50% weightage to Institute’s test/interview for all candidates who apply and qualify for a particular discipline.

Ph.D - Eligibility

• GATE is required by those students who are willing to apply for a master’s or Ph.D. program.

Placement

Our college has established a Training and Placement Cell, caters to the needs of the professionals and invites various companies in all branches of engineering, arranging industrial visits; industrial training during vacation, organizing interviews, providing job market information to students and necessary inputs to face the interviews, and organizing Guest Lecturers. Keeping in view of the growing importance of soft skills in present day competitive world, the department is imparting soft skills to the students’ right from First Year onwards. Along with regular subjects, a separate session is allotted to each branch for training on aptitude, verbal and soft skills.

State-of-the-art infrastructure featuring advanced laboratories, tech-enabled digital classrooms, and a seamless transport system. IFET provides a dynamic & innovative learning environment, ensuring students have the best resources to excel in academics and beyond.Classrooms and lecture halls are a great space for educational seminars and speakers. Spacious and well-equipped, these spaces are ideal for hosting workshops, seminars and meetings. These need to be booked in advance. A spacious and fully AC equipped with 500 seating capacity is in the campus where all co-curricular activities are organized. The hall is being set up with ‘state of the art’ facilities. All the departments are also provided with sufficient number of seminar halls.

Transport

The Prime Location of the Institution in the Pondicherry-Villupuram National Highway (NH45A) has been made accessible. Although situated just few Kilo Meters from Villupuram and Pondicherry, there is round the clock local transport facility. Besides, our college provides 30 buses from various cities.Also, bus facilities (Govt. and Private) and Auto Facilities are available to our College campus at frequent intervals throughout the day.
