The College is run by the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Congregation of Puducherry. Idhaya Engineering College for Women, is located on a reasonably large campus of 30.40 Acres at Idhaya Nager, Nainnarpalayam Road, Chinnasalem, Dt, Kallakurichi, Tamil Nadu. The campus is located in a clean and green environment away from dust, noise and pollution. It is ideally located and has a healthy Green Campus. Chinnasalem Railway Station is 3.3 Kms from the College and Salem Airport is 115 Kms from the College Campus.

Idhaya Engineering College for Women has a very impressive Infrastructure and Facilities for its Students, Faculty and others from the Campus community. There is a Central Library in a very congenial atmosphere in an area of 2500 Sqft. The Central library has a collection of over 24500 documents covering all disciplines of Science, Engineering and Technology. The collection comprises books, conference proceeding. There is a Women's Hostel that can house 500 Girls in a very secured and comfortable environment. Security is of high standard. There is also a full fledged Transport Facility. The College is a fully Wi-Fi and high speed Internet enabled campus. The computer labs are kept open from 9.30 am. to 5.30 pm. for the benefit of the students. The Wi-fi Connection is also extended in hostel premises from 5.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. The laboratory is equipped with latest software and hardware platforms.
