IIIT Agartala, established in 2018, is one of the new IIITs built under the public-private partnership. Presently operating from the IIT Agartala campus, this institute has been ranked 98th by Collegedunia in the B.Tech category. It offers only the flagship program of B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering specialization.

For Admissions at IIIT Agartala, students with a minimum of 75% marks in the science stream in the 10+2 board examination are eligible. A valid JEE Main exam score is also mandatory. Further, selected students are allotted seats through the JoSAA/CSAB Counselling round based on the JEE Main All India Rank. Admission Procedure

IIIT Agartala courses are offered at the UG level. Only one course is offered at IIIT Agartala. Under the discipline of Computer Science and Engineering, IIIT Agartala courses include the flagship program of B.Tech. The fee for the B.Tech CSE is approximately ₹ 8.68 Lakhs. The fee structure of IIIT Agartala has been consistent since 2023.

Admission Criteria

B.Tech Admission

• At IIIT Agartala, the B.Tech program is available only in one specialization of Computer Science and Engineering. With an annual fee of INR 2.2 Lakhs, this course is offered for 4 years.

 Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed a 10+2 level examination from a recognized board with at least 75% marks. Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry should be included as compulsory subjects.

Admission Process

IIIT Agartala offers admission to its UG programs based on scores in JEE Main, followed by JoSAA or CSAB counselling. Important steps regarding the counselling process are given below-

Registration:

• Candidates who have qualified for JEE Main 2025 will have to register on the JoSAA website.
  
• Registration involves using the JEE Main application number and password, along with other details like name, mother's name, and date of birth.
  
• After authentication, candidates will have to set a password for the JoSAA portal.
  

Choice Filling & Locking:

• Once registered, candidates can fill out their preferences for colleges and courses in order of priority.
  
• Candidates must lock their choices before the deadline, as locked choices cannot be changed.
