Admission Procedure

Admissions to UG and PG programs at IIITDM Kancheepuram are conducted through Entrance exams. To apply for the flagship B.Tech program, students require at least 75% in the 12th board exam with PCM as compulsory subjects. Eligible students can take admission to B.Tech programs based on their JEE Main All India Ranks, followed by seat allocation through JoSAA/CSAB/DASA Counseling rounds. But to confirm the admission, students need to report to the campus for verification and fee submission. The JEE Main closing cutoff for B.Tech CSE is 19069 for the General Category in 2025.

IIITDM Kancheepuram B.Tech Admission 2026

At the undergraduate level, IIITDM Kancheepuram offers a B.Tech degree program with eight specializations of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Smart Manufacturing, Artificial Intelligence, Design Engineering, and Engineering Physics. The program costs INR 1.95 Lakh annually.

IIITDM Kancheepuram B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• To be eligible for admission, applicants must have completed 10+2 level examination with a combination of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or an equivalent qualification.

IIITDM Kancheepuram Integrated B.Tech Admission 2026

IIITDM Kancheepuram offers a five-year Integrated program that culminates in the awarding of a dual degree in B.Tech and M.Tech. At an annual fee of INR 1.95 Lakhs, the program is available across CSE, ECE, ME, AI & Robotics, and VLSI Design.

IIITDM Kancheepuram Integrated B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission, students must have completed their 10+2 (Class XII) final examination with a subject combination of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or an equivalent qualification.

IIITDM Kancheepuram M.Tech Admission 2026

IIITDM Kancheepuram offers M.Tech programs across specializations like CSE ( Data Science & Artificial Intelligence), ECE (Communication Systems, Microelectronics and VLSI Design, RF and Microwave Engineering), and ME (Smart Manufacturing and Intelligent Mechanical System Design). The annual fee of this program is INR 1.16 Lakhs.

IIITDM Kancheepuram M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates who hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology, or a Master’s degree in Science from institutions approved by AICTE, UGC, or the Government.

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kancheepuram(IIITDM Kancheepuram) was established in 2007 by the MHRD, Govt. of India to provide Design and Manufacturing oriented Engineering education and research. The institute library functioned in many temporary locations inside the campus till the allocation of a permanent building. Finally in August 2016, the dedicated library facility was opened with the name “Knowledge Plaza”. Our Institute offers B.Tech., M.Des., Dual Degree and Doctoral Programmes. Our library is effectively used by all the students in the institute. Library collection has increased tremendously day by day with the Text books, Reference books, CDs, periodicals and Online Journals etc. The primary task of any institute librarian is to provide easy accessible information to the users through Internet or Intranet in an uninterrupted manner. In this way, our library Intranet provides information like subscribed e-Books, e-Journals, periodicals, various online resources and newly procured book lists etc. We also included features like displaying author of the month, Quote of the day, Library Statistics and Library Announcements etc.

IIITDM Kancheepuram campus of 51 Acres is located in the IT and industrial area in Chennai. Until August 2011, IIIT Kancheepuram was located on the IIT Madras campus. Later, IIIT Kancheepuram moved to its permanent campus, which is approximately 30 kilometres from Chennai International Airport. The Present Campus is situated at a very strategic location, IIIT Kancheepuram is near the Physical Education University, TN Police Housing Quarters, and Unitech Residential Zone.
