Indian Institute of Information Technology, Lucknow (IIIT Lucknow) is one of the 20 IIITs being set up by the Central Government in Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode. IIIT Lucknow admitted its first batch of B. Tech. in Information Technology with an intake of 50 students w.e.f. the academic session 2015-16. It currently offers all the amenities ,academic and non-academic to its students that can help them flourish and serve the nation with all their apprehension in the various fields of technology. The admission is made through central counselling of candidates who qualify in JEE (Mains).

Admission Procedure

IIIT Lucknow offers programs at UG, PG, and Doctoral levels. The courses are offered in disciplines like Engineering, Science, and Management. Popular courses at IIIT Lucknow are B.Tech, and MBA. The total fee for B.Tech is INR 10.23 Lakhs, and the annual tuition fee is INR 2.4 Lakhs, excluding the hostel fees. The fee includes the counselling fee, tuition fees, and one-time admission fee.

Admission Criteria

B.Tech Admission 

IIIT Lucknow offers B.Tech courses in CS, IT, Computer Science and Business Management, and CS & AI branches. It is a 4-year UG program priced at INR 2.4 Lakhs annually. The total intake of the program is 240.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry from a recognised board/ university.
  
• Students must score at least 75% in aggregate to be eligible for the application.
  
• Additionally, they must have qualified JEE Mains.

M.Tech Admission

IIIT Lucknow offers a Full-Time M.Tech. program for a duration of two years. The program is available only in Computer Science (Data Science & AI). The total fee for M.Tech is around INR 5.21 Lakhs.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates seeking admission to the M.Tech program at IIIT Lucknow are required to have a bachelor's degree, such as B.E. or B.Tech in the relevant discipline.
  
• Candidates must have secured at least 60% or 6.5 CGPA in their graduation.

MBA Admission 

IIIT Lucknow provides an MBA program in Digital Business specialisation. It is a 2-year full-time work-integrated programme. Working professionals can also apply for this course. The Capstone project is included as well for real-time industry experience. The cost of the total program is INR 3.02 Lakhs.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  
• In the 10+2 level examination, students must have passed with 50% marks in aggregate as well.
  
• A 5% mark relaxation is given to the SC/ST/PwD applicants.
  
• Final-Year exam appearing students can get provisional admission. But the students must meet all the above-mentioned conditions for admission.

Ph.D. Admission

IIIT Lucknow offers full-time Ph.D. programs in a wide range of disciplines, such as Engineering, Management, and Mathematics.

Eligibility Criteria

• For the Engineering department, Applicants must possess a Master’s degree after completing a 4-Year Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or in a relevant branch with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  
• For fresh graduates, students must have passed with a minimum of 80% or 8.0 CGPA. Applicants must have a GATE score as well.
  
• For the Individual Fellowship category, students should have qualified CSIR/UGC/DAE/NBHM/ICAR/ICMR or secured funding from such an agency.
